Their two game slide and the resulting melt is very similar to ours when we lost to Bama and Tennessee.
From incredibly high expectations to depression and calling for the coaches' heads in an 8 day period. They annoy the bejeezus out of me on tRant but I sort of feel for them.
Which program do you think is in a better position to succeed over the next 4 years or so?

Too close to call

If we can get great qb play I would say us.

No bama on our schedule so that's a major adv for Uga.

will likely follow a similar track if I had to guess

why?

Yea, why would we feel bad for them? They have two titles in the 2000s. I don't pity anyone but especially them. They've had way more than we have.

We've possibly got a pretty good QB coming in. Not sure they do and that's always their weak point.
If Chubb comes back healthy then perhaps our running games are even.
SEC East still not as skrong as West.
Then there's the fact that Mark Ridge has a winning record against the Hat.
Unless they gut the coaching staff, I like our chances.

Same goes for them. If we both get great QB play, I would say UGA because we are in the East and they are in the West.

This. Assuming we have the same coaching staff next year, if we get solid play from Eason in 1-2 years, finish out with a top 6 recruiting class, get and develop better WRs/OLinemen, we should be in great shape.

Because the realization that your top 10 team is nothing more than a mirage - it doesn't feel good.
They are my favorite team from the west, in sort of a pick your poison way.

From a recruiting perspective I would say them. They are looking at a number 1 class this year and that would be the first time in 5 years someone beat Bama.

At this point, I would say Georgia mainly due to Pruitt as our DC and a 5 star QB coming into camp next season. Georgia has the advantage of playing in a generally weaker East. LSU has the advantage of locking down their in-state recruiting for the most part. Our staff needs to do a better job of getting the best recruits in our state. If we could get the cream of the crop most seasons, we would likely be a top 5 team in recruiting instead of typically top 10. There is a difference.

We are because we play in the east.
The bottom line is LSU got overhyped because their schedule was backloaded. They are a one man show. They could very well lose this weekend and it wouldn't surprise me. The SEC is Alabama followed by the rest of the west, except Auburn, with Florida and Tennessee. Then you have all the 2015 shitty bottom feeders: Vandy, Kentucky, Mizzou, Georgia, Carolina, and Auburn.

Yhey are mighty upset, not used to getting their hopes dashed on the rocks in front of their eyes like we are.
The big difference is LSU won't put up with it like we do.

You think they will get rid of Miles? No way in hell.

Normally I would agree, but I think the West has exposed themselves to be a LSU and Alabama party. In the East we have an up and coming Tennessee and possibly Florida if they continue. I think overall depth is in the West, but the East will be as strong if not stronger than the West in 2-3 years....PROVIDING improvement continues in Florida and Tennessee. I think they will continue to improve.

Whaaaat? I don't think we are elite by any stretch, but we certainly are NOT bottomfeeders.

Not yet, but the wheels started turning after the Music City Bowl loss last year. They are better this year, but they aren't vastly better than last year.
