Of course, and it will be much quicker than Richt's extended tour of duty.

Let him continue to shite the bed like Richt does EVERY year and see what happens.

He lost 5 in a row to Alabama and 7 of the last 9.... Their main rival...

Ya, they don't put up with it...

Alabama is a different animal than the one Richt deals with and I know you know that.

That said, LSU fans are a special breed for wanting to dump Miles.

That shiny crystal ball in their trophy case has bought Les some time that he probably wouldn't have had otherwise.

Gee, if that Crystal means you fans will put up with losing incessantly to primary rivals and liking mediocrity .... Then maybe I will stick with liking us take care of our rivals most every year...

"Oh, so what you won a national title? We still have the series edge the past 10 years!"

LSU has been far from mediocre for most of his tenure. He has a national title, has won the SEC twice, and has had the extreme misfortune of being really good while Saban has been historically great in the same division. Richt hasn't had to compete with anything remotely close to Saban in our division since Meyer left Florida.

Or, to make it simpler, swap UGA to the West and LSU to the East and Miles would have won the East in 5 of the last 6 years (including this one; they lost to Florida in 2012).

There's a distinct possibility that The Hatter is on his way to a Richtian turn in his career. A brilliant first 5 years, then nothing to show for years of epic talent on campus.

You say that, but from what I have learned here about mediocrity, the hat fits the active definition.
I mean, he gets owned by the really good teams and always has a shite the bed game.

Not yet, but the wheels started turning after the Music City Bowl loss last year. They are better this year, but they aren't vastly better than last year.

I tend to agree. Miles won his NC with players from Saban's teams. He has been a good coach, much like Richt, but they seem to be regressing. I mean, look at what everybody is complaining about Richt and you can say the same about Miles. He makes inexplicable decisions, sometimes. He loses to teams he should not lose to.

You can say that again. Miles is just mind boggling sometimes. Honestly, had we still had Chubb, we would probably be pretty equal teams this year. Both teams are lacking the same common denominator, quarterback play.

So this Les being fired if they lose to Ole Miss business is only picking up steam. It's even all over ESPN.

I swear to god if LSU fires Miles before we fire Richt then we are the sorriest sacks of shite and LSU is the ballsiest/most insane sacks of shite

Aren't you the one quoted saying that it's bullshite that Auburn got to win a NC and fire its coach before we got to do either one?

Miles is the most dependable coach in the SEC in exactly the same was as Richt. He loses a game he shouldn't like Arkansas - repeatedly (USCe for Richt) and can't get out of his own way against Alabama (Florida for Richt). He somehow ended up in the BCS Championship after losing to Arkansas the last week of the regular season even if they didn't belong in that game. USC was a better team at the end of the year and we had a good argument ourselves. Miles is so much like Richt it's uncanny.

Miles gets better overall players too other than QB... He pretty much owns a very fertile recruiting area... I think overall, he does less with even more...

I would imagine our starters are comparable at any given time but he certainly seems to get more high level talent than we do. It seems like they can sub in an out and not have a dropoff.

I think they are deeper at the lines and always have two or 3 super elite skill players...

2005: 11-2, home loss to an average UT team. Got shellacked by UGA in the title game. Beat miami in the peach bowl.

2006: 11-2 with losses to auburn and florida. Won sugar bowl convincingly.

2007: 12-2 with losses to an average UK team and a bad arkansas team. Hung on to win the SEC against an average UT team, and played for (and won) the natty despite near miraculous odds. Despite 2 bad losses (including the last game of the regular season) and going into championship weekend 7th, they had #1 lose to an atrocious unranked team and #2 lose as well. They jumped from 7 to 2 overnight and was undoubtedly the luckiest team to win a title in the BCS era.

2008: 8-5 with blowout losses to UF, UGA, and ole miss, with additional losses to alabama and arkansas. Won the peach bowl.

2009: 9-4 with losses to UF, bama, and ole miss regular season and a citrus bowl loss to penn state

2010: 11-2 with losses to auburn and arkansas. won the cotton bowl

2011: Excellent, dominant regular season and SEC champs that lost the national title game.

2012: 10-3 with losses to UF and bama regular season and a peach bowl loss to clemson.

2013: 10-3 with losses to UGA, ole miss, and bama. Keep in mind that's 3 losses with a 3,000 yard passer, 1,000 yard rusher, and two 1,000 yard receivers.

2014: 8-5 with losses to MSU, auburn, alabama, arkansas, and nd in the MCB

2015: currently 8-2 with losses to bama and arkansas

If les miles didn't have the luckiest national title in over 20 years him and richt would actually have extremely similar resumes. The only reason Miles is considered suuuuuuch a better coach than richt is because of the title, and because of his gambler personality. Fake field goals, 4th down tries, etc.
