A lot of good points, but it wasn’t a bare cupboard as was alleged by some. We are in a much better place now thankfully.

I can’t wrap my mind around people who think making a pro roster doesn’t mean much.

Catalina did well drive blocking. He struggled more so in pass-blocking. Unfortunately, when he faced Elite College Talent then he struggled a lot in both. That is not uncommon for college football players. But it is not the standard at the University of Georgia. Even before Kirby got here.

It's very close to people saying a MLB baseball player with a .250 average can't hit. You put him at any other level of baseball and he would dominate in a big way.

They have no concept of how good a NFL "bad" player is.

**sort of**... He made the roster last year, had season ending shoulder surgery this year and is on the PUP list for a team that has struggled to keep OL players healthy.

Tyler Catalina signed a 3 year, $1,665,000 contract with the Washington Redskins, including an average annual salary of $555,000. In 2018, Catalina will earn a base salary of $378,000, while carrying a cap hit of $378,000

The top recruited lineman in his HS class.... 5star dude was.

Kyle Murphy signed a 4 year, $2,466,141 contract with the Green Bay Packers, including a $126,141 signing bonus, $126,141 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $616,535. In 2018, Murphy will earn a base salary of $630,000, while carrying a cap hit of $661,535 and a dead cap value of $63,071.

How much does he make on the PUP list? I legitimately don't know the ins/outs of nfl salaries... I just know that generally speaking the contracts (outside of guaranteed dollars) are written on "rapidly dissolving toilet paper" (for any Bill Engvall fans).

I honestly don't know if people realize the talent it takes to make a NFL roster.

He has made $788,285 so far along with a $15k singing bonus.

I have smart kids and none of them came close to that their first two years out of school.

Hell... if I understand how it works correctly, if he is still on the roster at the end of the 2019 season, he'll be eligible for the NFL pension. It's not a lot, but the average NFL pension in 2014 was 43k. That's a nice chunk of change annually once you're done playing.
