Show me 3 plays in 2012 where the defense was lined up wrong and confused.

I'm not a huge Grantham basher. He had some bad breaks with the roster at UGA. But clearly, the man struggled to teach his defense to college players. If you don't remember that happening frequently during 2012, go back and watch the games because it was way too frequent for a defense with that much experience.

Here's a link to one point in our last game of the 2012 season, the Capital One Bowl. Watch the play, and the replay, and listen to the commentary: "For the second time in two consecutive snaps, Georgia's not ready to get lined up...Look at the confusion in the back end."

This happened with regularity in 2012, so it was not surprising that 2013 was a chinese fire drill on defense.

I've said before that he has his strong points. And no, he isn't as bad as 2013 made him seem and he isn't responsible for all of UGA's problems at all. I actually think he really understands defense and can come up with some great schemes. But as wdhalgren said above, he clearly struggled imparting it to college players.

I also think he is very high risk-high reward oriented and doesn't know how to adapt that when it isn't working with the personnel he has.

That being said, once our defense underperformed to the extent that it did in 2012 despite all the talent and experience (and that's the bigger part honestly), I think everyone knew then that Grantham wasn't gonna work.

And yea, I got a little more aggravated during his tenure because I had come around to liking Bobo after his first few years and got tired of Bobo and Murray getting shite on despite carrying the team with any number of injuries, etc while Grantham got a pass because "he's fiery!"

And lol at saying people are classless for saying he wasn't a good DC for us.

Are you fricking kidding me?

Seriously, is this a god damn joke?

Maybe the fricking governor should have taken the time to walk down to the sideline and grabbed Trigga and THC and explained to them how much this last play meant to the state of Georgia.

I don't understand how that's a joke. I was told from both players and a GA that Grantham never told them to bat the ball down during our TO. There was also a wide open player running a 25 yard in. I'm not excusing JHC and Trigga. I've known since 7th grade you're supposed to bat that ball down, and our two players didn't. I just get frustrated because Matthews did the same thing against LSU and I would have pointed out to him that you don't do that. Maybe Grantham did, but your players are your responsibility.

Maybe Nick Saban should be fired too. He gave up a bigger clusterfrick last minute play to lose to Auburn than UGA did that year. How could Saban not know that Gus had a horse shoe up his arse, and how could he not see that Auburn clearly had a return man under the goal posts, how did he not warn his players to be mindful of a potential return, knowing his kicker was out of range? This is Day One stuff. How can a head coach in the SEC make Day One frickups like that in such big games? After 7 years!!! Fire Saban!!!

Seems a little dramatic since Saban has won 3 national championships in his time with Bama (and yes, I know you're kidding). I never said I hated Grantham. He was definitely an upgrade from Martinez and had a couple successful seasons with us. I just think Pruitt is an upgrade and doesn't make some of the same frustrating mistakes that Grantham did.

I'm done with you sad sorry bitches. My point has been made. At this point it's not a discussion or a debate. It's just me vs ignorant titty bitches.

It's about time for one of you to commit suicide again.

I'm glad you're calling other people classless though for disliking Grantham.

That would be great for recruiting.
