Being an a-hole sure seems to work for the guy from Tuscaloosa. He's ranked No 1 and still calling out his team for not performing well and jumping assistants on the sideline. Maybe some of these guys need to hear the truth. Obviously, they aren't used to being called out.

This team is more talented or as talented as everybody on their schedule.

Lack of talent is a BS excuse.

You mean the guy that's proved he knows what he's doing has more wiggle room to be a dick? Wow. :mindblown:

Also...saying his team isn't performing isn't the same as saying they don't have the talent to perform. Can you see the difference or are you like everyone else?

He's not being an a-hole, he's being honest. If the players can't handle him being honest to the media about our talent deficiencies then they're not going to get very far in life. CKS has told the media that anything he says to them is the same as what he would tell a player who goes to him to ask about their individual performance.

Please wait 10 years and 2 or 3 NTs before equating Kirby with Saban. Kirby has to earn the right to be an a-hole.

Did you think most of these kids we're gonna go far in life? THIS is what most of them hang their hopes on. And hello...dreams killed on day one by new coach. Not going anywhere after this...why try now?

Now since most of you can only read and immediately react without thinking...yes, Kirby may turn out to be a better coach with his own players. He's also young and may turn out to be a great coach even in years where talent isn't up to Alabama standards.

The funny part of this is most of you idiots get all upset about anyone being critical of the new coach that gets paid millions to turn out a good product on the field but go and defend him for being critical of players that don't get paid at all. Irony.

What does income have to do with how I should feel about somebody getting criticized? Oh yeah, it doesn't matter.

So your'e required to start out Mr Nice guy and only change when you earn it. BS. You are who you are. Consistency is the key. You start out day 1 knowing where your coming from and what your expectations are and the team understands it too.

You think someone getting paid 3.75 million a year doesn't have more culpability than a bunch of kids getting a free education?

You're right, they're special little snowflakes who shouldn't ever have to hear anything negative about themselves.

You people are dense. They are underperforming, they should hear about it. Half the threads on here are about the players sucking. We get it - there's not as much talent as everyone would like.

Kirby is also underperforming. You know, since his job is to make sure the players aren't underperforming. See how that works?

And people are calling him on it. Just because we aren't calling for his head on a spike doesn't mean we think he's doing a perfect job. Why can't people like yourself understand that we are trying to be patient with a first year coach who has been thrown into a difficult situation?

Where did I say you did? I said that people like myself aren't, didn't imply that you did.

Exactly. The very first thing he said when hired is that we've got to get BIGGER and STRONGER on both lines of scrimmage. This isn't the pros where you can go out and BUY linemen on the free agent market. It takes TIME to recruit them and get them stronger.

Patience!!!!!

Sounds like an implication to me. Either way, I'm hopeful he improves. I want him to succeed. As much as I like the guy, Richt's time was up at Georgia.

Never said that. But, being an a-hole doesn't win any games. He can be tough and stern without being an a-hole.
