TCU would be a rough one anyway. Personally, if we were gonna play on a day I couldn't friggin watch I'd have liked to see ND in Nashville but this ain't bad. Just win and it'll be nice to kick Grantham's arse.

Actually, if you look at the recruiting rankings, Richt teams have ranked in the ball park of the talent. Some years a little above and some below. UGA is ranked 13 with a group of players from recruiting classes rated 12-15th in the nation.

The Belk Bowl - vs Louisville - on December 30 - embarrassing for a program that positions and promotes itself as successfully and consistently competing at the highest level of college football.
Unfortunately, the Belk Bowl is where we belong. At least it is not the Independence Bowl.
Can you imagine what would happen if at Bama, LSU, or Florida for 3 of the last 6 years they had graced the Independent, Liberty and Belks Bowls?

Is Belk still doing business??? Is it the same Belk that tried to be a JC Penny or Sears but was more like a Zayers? All I know about Belk is they were the only store that sold Boy Scout shite back in the day and they also sold fat kid clothes. I Thought they had gone out of business about the same time as Grants.
If we had played above our heads to get 9 wins this would be a great bowl game...considering how shitty we played at times this year and how unprepared we were at times it is a disgrace to be bowling at all....money of course rules the CFB world but there is nothing positive about the Belk Bowl...and if Louisville beats us, as they very well may given Richts bowl history, the negatives will be titanic in nature....

We started preseason 12. We are now 13. We are exactly where we were supposed to be, and that is without the best player in the nation for 2/3 of the season. Most people on these damn forums would have predicted a 9 or 10 win season on the upside and that was before we lost our best player.

For those of you bitchin, Charlotte is a blast. If you're gonna stay overnight you need to hit the Epicentre after the game. Sure I would rather be in New Orleans, Pasadena heck even Atlanta but we're in the Belk Bowl. Bank of America stadium is nice enough, the downtown is awesome and they have some nice rub and tugs scattered around town that will help you stressed out m'fers relax and put a smile on your face.....dey wub you wong time.

Seriously...in. 2 weeks we, as fans, have seen our team miss a shot at the SEC Cg when Arkansas looses to Missourri, then we turn around a create a classic for the ages with our instate rival....and then are forced to watch said Missourri look like Missourri in the SEC CG and our instate Rival make a dammed good shoe of themselves in their conference championship game....and then find ourselves in the Belk Bowl???? And some of you act surprised when some of us are less than enthusiastic? This is exactly why UGA will never be an elite program...this is acceptable. We are headed in the right direction. There is always next year. I ain't calling for anyone to be fired but frick me if the Belk bowl is acceptable, and apparently even preferred over a Florida bowl, then UGA football has taken a serious turn and is definitely headed in a direction it hasn't gone before....

Charlotte is a great town though...if it were May or June and not December it is a great place to spend a long weekend. If the dammed thing was called anything other than the Belk Bowl or the Muffler shop bowl it wouldn't be so hard to take....but Belk??? Belk used to be the poor mans JC Penny...when you needed something a little bit spiffier than Grants but you couldn't afford Richs Belk was the place...Belk literally translates into second rate...you can look it up.
