re: Excited UGA fans on this board for Belk Bowl....

Yea Louisville and their 3rd string QB (or 2nd string if his knee is healed up in time) are gonna go Ohio St. on us. It's what 3rd string qbs do. I assume everyone saying how bad UL is gonna beat us actually knows anything about other teams and their QB situations etc right?

Going to a Florida bowl game wouldn't be ideal either, but you do realize that we beat all 3 teams in the SEC vs. B1G Florida bowl games we would be in otherwise. I know you may not always think before you post on this board, but it's not like the 3 programs playing in Florida are better than us. They are just more desirable picks since they haven't been in FL bowls each of the last 3 years.

Losing in any of them. The Belk bowl melt would mostly be fueled by losing to Grantham. But the melt if we lost to Minnesota, Nebraska (again and without a coach) or a wisconsin team that just got destroyed by a 3rd string QB would be pretty bad too.

Before the season if you told me we'd be in the Belk bowl I'd be pissed. I'm pissed now that we are in the situation where we couldn't get one of the big 6 bowls. But beyond those 6 bowls, all of the others are disappointing so I look at things like the city and the matchup.

Given our choices this wasn't bad, We have done the Florida bowls to death vs B1G teams. Yes we all wanted something better but at 9-3 you're in the group of bowls in 3-8 choice group and of those this is the only one we haven't been to vs an opponent we have an interesting story line against. So no we aren't excited as this being an accepted end season goal, we are making the best of a bad situation.
