I'm a happy man. I feel like this was the first step in taking our country back from the Oligarchy.

Now Trump needs to live up to his promises. I'm mostly concerned with ending Crony Capitalism, making a smart decision on the Supreme Court and gutting the horrible regulations that are killing small business and creating an atmosphere preventing and slowing business startups. That's what drives America's engine. If we really want to turn things around we need to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.

I'll say one last thing ... Trump needs to surround himself, with his staff, advisors and cabinet, with smart people that know more about their respective subject matter than he does (shouldn't be too hard :) ) and then listen to those advisors.

Voted for Hilary but here's to hoping Trump can do good things for the country. I'll support his good ideas and oppose his bad ones. I'm not on the obstruction train.

I hope Trump will move in this direction. What concerns me is the fact that the Congress is still dominated by the establishment GOP. All of the gains that the Tea-Party (or whatever you want to call that movement) were halted, and in some cases pushed back, in the 2016 Congressional primaries. While most Democrats, imo, are lukewarm stooges of the Oligarchy, the Republican establishment are full-fledged globalist zealots for the Oligarchy. If Trump stays true to his word, his real challenges lie ahead. The GOP establishment desperately wants to reinstate the Bush tax cuts that empower the Oligarchy. If Trump fights back, he will win at least 40 of 50 states in 2020. If he gives in, he will lose soundly in 2020.

Those include:

1. Building an 1800 mile wall on the border with Mexico
2. Deporting 11 million illegal immigrants
3. Destroying ISIS
4. Removing America from involvement in OPEC and making the U.S. completely energy independent

and quite a few others.

I would love to see some of his many promises come to fruition but those first four are going to be a tall order...

Same boat. Don't care who it is he's my president and he's got 100% of my support. Hope they can work together.

Too bad none of you conservatives gave that same support to Obama or Clinton. Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

1, 2, and 4 are all dependent upon Congress. 3 is the only one he could at least potentially do solely through the Executive. It will really get interesting if Congress doesn't fund the first two - a lot of congresscritters might find 2018 an unpleasant year.

Just like Obama promised to eliminate debt and bring the country together. He did the opposite but that's ok right.

You mean like all the liberals gave to Bush? You are correct about one thing, though. Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Since you are still (obviously) reading the posts, I noticed you did not answer any of the questions.

Maybe they were too tough for you. So I have an easy, yes or no question for you.

You said trump should be in jail Should Hillary and Bill Clinton be in jail?

Oh, I don't know. Whenever Obama did not get his way, he just waited until Congress was on recess and did whatever he wanted through Executive Order.

But the GOP is in control of Congress. They would fund Trump's pet projects just because the Dems don't like it.

And they could have refused to fund all of the Obama stuff that they ran against for 8 years, but didn't. And most of them are establishment types who HATE Trump - they'll suddenly find their fangs again on January 21.

You know I am not defending either party, right? I am so disgusted with the political system we have it's unbelievable. Clinton and Trump. There was NOBODY better than those two? I hope many on here are right about Trump and he does shake things up in a good way. We need it bad.

My sentiments exactly. I've felt that way through this entire, sickening election season.

All political b.s. aside...seriously...

Hillary Clinton, with so much baggage -- both her own and from Bill Clinton, and representing more of the same old establishment that many people in BOTH parties are sick of...and who lots of Democrats weren't excited about...yet she and her "machine" were adamant it was her God-given right to be the first woman president.

And then we have Donald Trump...a narcissist with the temperament of a 13-year-old...with absolutely no experience in public service and aggressively ignorant of the complex issues which will come before him…the ultimate demagogue riling up the people...but so little substance.

It's hard to believe that these two were the best that America could put forth from the two major political parties.

My only hope is that the Trump we've seen was partially an act and that he's secretly a lot smarter and more mature...and will shake things up in a good way...

There was no candidate worthy of my vote. I'm glad Hillary wasn't elected but Trump is barely better. Both political parties engage in blatant criminality with never-ending treasury raids.

The successful cannabis initiatives offer a slight ray of hope but watch out if either Christie or Giuliani gain influence.
