I bet Fromm's QB rating tonight was around 230.

the hate

Example?

I haven't seen any hate in this thread.

Well, other than the goober who keeps trying to come up with urban stereotypes that have nothing to do with the thread.

Not even sure I would call that hate, exactly.

Fromm had two drops tonight and one other throw everyone was covered. He should have gone 11/12

Exactly. Both drops were passes right into the hands/routine catches. Fromm is simply a more accurate passer than Eason and has better command of the offense.

At this point Fromm is our guy. Eason has all kinds of potential but he still has accuracy issues. Fromm has all kinds of intangibles you want in a QB as well. The team rallies around Fromm.

Without a doubt, this is Fromm's tram right now. Hellova problem to have that our backup QB is a potential first round draft pick

This year, how many times has Fromm fricked up a pass?

2 that I can think of, one at ND & one vs App State

we need to boat-race 10RC

I have never been to a game at Neyland, I think that ill change on Saturday

tix will be fairy cheap & accessible, Vols fans are despondent right now

we may not take over the stadium like we did at ND (and like we will at Vandy) - but 20% + of the crowd is my expectation

Don't get me wrong, if Eason is better than Fromm that would be wonderful. I just don't see it. Using a pitcher analogy, Eason has a 99 mph fast ball, one pitch, and walks a lot of people. Fromm has a 94 mph fast ball, can hit the corners of the plat, and change speeds.

remember the magical season of 1976?

I was 7 years old

we had an AWESOME team

we were # 4 going into the Sugar Bowl against #1 Pitt (who we need to schedule a home/home with to even the damned record)

USC was # 2 & Michigan was # 3

USC got beat by MI in the Rose Bowl; had we beat Pitt odds are we would have split the MNC with the Wolverines (we got boat raced in the Sugar Bowl, my dad still has hi 8" button that says 'shite on Pitt" that he bought in NOLA)

anyway - the point

Ray Goff split QB duties with Matt Robinson that year

I believe that Eason & Fromm will both see action once Eason is 100% ready to go

IF there is no QB split; then I think Eason sits out the rest of the year and transfers to Wazzou; but my money is on a rotating QB situation

we'll see

I see Eason transferring if he loses his starting job.

Richt would have probably messed up this gift situation we've received, but Kirby won't. Kirbs blood runs much colder.

Fromm is our QB.

Based on the stats Fromms QB rating for this game was 270.

I do not envy Kirby right now. Fromm goes on the road to the erector set stadium next week and puts on a show, it’ll be impossible to put Eason back in. That being said, Eason is too talented to just sit the bench and will likely transfer in the offseason, leaving us thin at QB and making the Justin Fields decision an even bigger one for the program. I’d be inclined to let a healthy Eason start against Vandy and give him a chance to show why he won the job in the first place. If he drops the ball, it’s Fromm for the rest of the season.

If From keeps doing whats he's been doing, Eason shouldn't see the field again. Fromm is a field general now that can hit all the throws he needs to. The comparisons to Murray are warranted and as long as he keeps playing like a winner, the job should remain his. In a word, he has been impressive.

Fromm seems so much more at ease on the field vs Eason. Like he was meant to be there. Pretty impressive for an 18 year old.
