Hell its gonna be hard to start Fields over Fromm. Does Fields want to sit two years is the question? Eason is gone in my opinion, unless he is loving the college life in Athens and doesn't mind wearing the headset and holding the clipboard.

let's play this game

Eason goes home to WA State

Fields commits to UGA - redshirts next year

Fromm does not have the physical attributes to be a high draft pick as a junior

so yes, Fields likely sits 2 years and starts in his junior season (unless we get someone better)

I think Fromm may wind up beating David Green's SEC win record

and consider this, the App State game will not count (Eason gets credit for that win in the record books)

The kid is a 6'2" Murray, he will play in the NFL. Hell I think if a team would have givin Murray a shot he could have played. Might have taken acouple games, but he would have got there. Hell the kid broke all kinds of SEC passing record, you know the SEC that is known for the best Defense in college football. Really blows my mind he didnt get a shot will all the shitty QB's in the NFL. Wg get two more years with Fromm then he's gone. So Fields would have to sit two years

I don't see Fromm leaving early. Hell, he is the kind of kid that will stick around for his 5th year. I hate it for Eason, the kid can be an elite QB, but I think he is done as "the guy" at UGA.

He would go to Washington and take over for their current qb. In 2019, we get to face Eason and richt in the playoffs.

We need to slow down just a little until after the UTk game. Win it handily and then we can take command till the WLOCP. Haven't gone there in about 8 years but will be there this year.

Any thoughts on who the players support to be the starter? I wonder which QB the players believe gives them the best chance to win. Obviously Nauta is a good friend of Eason and Eason throws it his way a lot but other than him I really have no idea.

Winning cures a lot. After last night not many (excluding myself) are calling for Chaney to be gone. I think they would want Fromm to keep getting better every week and continue with the momentum. His QB rating last night was unreal and we haven't seen his best yet. FROMMWARD

Fromm has the 2nd best QB rating (172.03) in the SEC, trailing only Paterson at Ole Miss.

Fromm seems so much more at ease on the field vs Eason

Course it does help to have the 15th rated Against the sack versus the 44th, receivers taller than 5-9 who can catch, and a full compliment of healthy backs, not to mention a punter who can actually change field position and last but not least a D who is one of the best in the country... I mean none of that helps right??

Fromm is looking as good as a true frosh as I hoped Eason would look as a sophomore. Kudos to Fromm for seizing the opportunity. When Eason is back 100%, Smart will have a tough decision to make. If it's me, I think it's hard to take Fromm out right now.

The scarier thing is they haven't opened up the books for him yet. Once they allow him total autonomy over the offense, it's no way he won't start putting up 4-5 thousand yard seasons.

Hate to see it, but we could see another Jeff Driskell situation.

Fromm's mechanics are also really good. He's got a smooth delivery and great accuracy because of it.

I just re-watched a 20 minute video of Eason's highlights from last season. The vast majority of his (highlight) throws were him muscling the ball into his receivers' hands. He had happy feet and tried to throw the ball often before he got those feet set. Many of those throws were off his back foot and again forced the ball where he wanted it. His strong arm saved him so many times. If he had Fromm's mechanics and decision-making, Eason would be an absolute beast.

As it stands, I'll take Fromm and his ball delivery and decision-making over Eason. I'd love to see evidence that Eason has cleaned up his game, but Fromm is already doing what we need a QB to do.
