About who is coaching......

"Two things are dominating the boards right now in the Georgia Bulldogs market. What is going on with Mark Richt and what is the commitment status of Jacob Eason?

Dawgs247 talked with his father,Tony and this was his response on Jacob and Georgia on Sunday.

"He looks at it as an opportunity," said Tony Eason.

"He has already developed a brotherhood with committed guys and guys that have privately told him they are coming. The boys are coming together to help right the ship. Its not about coaches or rankings. Its about a group of top recruits that love the Dawgs and want to play together."

Eason's son is currently ranked as the Nation's Top QB prospect and has been verbally committed to UGA for over a year and half now."

He started at being committed to Richt when Bobo left. Now he's committed to the school. That's good I guess.

Sounds like Skinny Jake and his dad have discussed the distinct possibility of CMR's demise in Athens, and they're all in.

Yes, we need him badly. We can't win with our current qbs.

I wouldn't expect much improvement with a freshen Eason either, but it definitely can't get worse than it is right now.

Agree. We must play for 2017 since deshaun watson isn't our experienced Qb.

Tons of freshman QBs thrive. They just need a system and coaches that play to their strengths.

Very few pro style qbs do well as true freshmen. Hope we get a spread system with a new Qb. One that is easy to learn

Makes you wonder if people aren't looking at this backwards. Rather than worry about Eason - what better situation for a new coach to have than come in with the best QB in the country and the other recruits we have lined up. Eason and company make the job that much more attractive IMO.

If schottenheimer is still here, Eason won't be able to help.

Could seal Richt's fate, though. If Eason's coming regardless, Richt is unnecessary.

Any guesses as to whom the private commits are?

People, his dad would never publicly state that his kid would leave if Richt leaves. He said the right thing to the press but you can bet your arse that kid isn't coming to Athens if Richt leaves. He's made it well known he has plans to play on Sunday and the only reason he's coming to UGA is because Richt can coach QB's and we run a pro system. If Richt leaves, he's going somewhere else. With that being said, the kid knows he's gonna be our starter day one, so he's probably pretty excited to come.
