I haven't been to any of them. Creature comforts didn't come till after I left and I lived downtown and far enough away from my car that the other two were not really sensible over the bars next door.

Haven't had enough SBC to get a good feel for it, but Creature Comforts rivals only Cigar City for best brewery in the southeast.

Yes! Portly prefers to sniff the bouquet of his "Georgian" McSnoot Ales.....to relish and savor the subtle notes of New Zealand grown hopps and Czechoslovakian barley that they're made with.

This is an important point. The CC Brewery CEO is a neighbor of mine and has voiced frustrations with the laws in GA regarding craft brew businesses and it really limits their ability to do some of these really cool things.

Texas used to be very similar to GA but they've recently changed their laws and opened things up a bit more. They're realizing really good tax revenues as a result. The GA craft brewers should mimic what their peers did in TX. I think they're starting to but it will be a tough sell I'm sure.

One of the top 3 beers I've ever had is not sold in Georgia because it's against the law to sell beer above 15% ABC

Point of clarity- you'd want Czech hops and German barley.

It's because of the distributor lobby. Their pitch is that tax revenue wouldn't be collected and the state would lose millions. They also make sure the beer is warehoused safely to protect consumers. Basically, a bunch of bullshite. They are one of those industries that only exists because of a law. There is no demand for them in the free marketplace. They are a government mandated middle man.

It won't be until the craft brewers can show how much state revenue is lost to Asheville and South Carolina that the law will be changed.

What happened to the picture of the shite Monster relaxing on a pile of dog, cat, and raccoon terds after his nightly run? I can't find it.

They went in another direction for their graphic design. I think they made a good choice, myself.

Tropicalia is the shite. One of the better beers I've had. A lot of people like their Athena but I'm not a fan. I tried a few of the other things they had on tap and they were pretty good but nothing beat Tropicalia.

It wasn't. It was a goose island barrel aged something or another.

I'm not down with the sours, like Athena, but my wife loves it. We were at the brewery a few weeks back and they had a special cherry Athena that was pretty though.

Thanks! THis pic cracks me up...

The place is called "Creature COmforts", so their logo is a creature looking comfortable.

aka A shite Monster back from his nightly run of collecting dog, deer, and coon terds......relaxing on his bounty.

Just picked up a growler of Tropicalia at the store by my house. I have never had it before but have heard great things. The owner said it goes fast so I went on my lunch break

What are the other words besides "camp" and "bike" written below the upper lid? And why are they there?
