He played out field in the minors. He stole 21 bases one season showing has some speed. He'll be 25 by January. Probably will play SS/LB.

Reminds me of Frenchy if he would have gave football a shot.

So recruiting thread gurus...how bad will this loss hurt recruiting?

I thinks its obvious that it will be used negatively on the recruiting trail. We lose to UK and GT and we will be full on dumpster fire status.

You can actually twist it into a positive pretty easily. So much PT available.

Recruits do not think like fans. Recruits usually look at relationships, how quickly they can get on the field, and if they feel they will be in a system/program that develops them for the NFL. Current on the field results matter little those guys, because they generally feel that they can come in and be the catalyst for title run at the right school.

We have good recruiters on staff and out HC is one of the best recruiters in the business.

I am not a guru, but you know I have an opinion!

It certainly will hurt with some recruits, and not so much others. It depends on how Kirby spins it. Plenty of PT available...etc. Look at Tennessee. It didn't hurt them a whole lot. We REALLY need to beat Kentucky and GT, though. We want to make it appear as if we are close and only missing a few pieces. And, I actually think that is the truth.

Last I read we're in pretty good shape for him, but he's hearing from every program in the nation. Haven't seen an update on him in quite a while, though.

The 2018 class is ridiculously talented.

I see that we're in the running for 6 of the top 21 in the nation. I'll be happy with half that.

Not 2017 related but today we offered that Freshman QB from Marietta that has been killing it, Harrison Bailey is his name I think.

That kid is legit. He's better as a freshmen and Lawrence was.

POjr. if the kid is that good it would work out well. Im assuming we wont get Lawrence. Eason will be gone and Fromm will be established. By the time he gets here we will have improved the OL and hopefully will have lured some WR talent due to the QB play that went before him.

On 247 there is an article that says Lawrence cancelled his visit to Michigan State next weekend, and will instead be going to BR to see Bama-LSU. I want to not look too far into it, since he was visiting Mich St and damn sure wasn't going there, but still...

Someone asked Rusty what he thought about it and the responses are behind paywall. Anyone got access that wants to share?

Eason, Trevor Lawrence, Jake Fromm, D'Andre Swift, Toneil Carter, Holyfield and Herrien will not be on the same roster together.1 year maybe then someone transfers. Who transfers or who won't sign.
