The passing game looked very good against Tennessee on a national stage. Let's hope the last game was just a fluke. With the way we are running the ball the last two games Eason is going to have opportunities to make big plays.
Also lack of a passing game in recent years hasn't stopped Auburn and Tennessee from piling up elite receiver prospects.

I would say that twenty-something yards is a fluke by ANY QB's standards.

Lecounte won the opening tip of the state basketball championship game with Jonesboro. He was going against the 6'7 guy who's committed to Louisville.
There is a big difference between setting up for a jump ball and running down a field, judging where a ball is going and then jumping up for a pass. A BIG difference.
Don't get me wrong...I LOVE LeCount, and I like Jamyest. But I am just surprised that during a season when we see our 5'8" and 5'9" CBs having balls caught over them down the field and in the end zone we scream we need bigger corners. But when we get on the recruiting board we applaud and say we have to get more 5'8" and 5'9" corners. What's the old saying about insanity?
I would take both, but after them, we really, really need to get some height back there. (Although, I didn't realize that Deangelo Gibbs could play CB. He has pretty good height.) Sure wish we could pry Jacoby Stevens away from LSU now that Les Miles is gone, though.(Assuming he has the speed for corner. Even if not, stick him at safety and free up Gibbs for corner)

The reality is that there just aren't that many people in the world that are 6'2" and also explosive enough athletes to play corner in the SEC. The ones that are are 5*s, and UGA is trying to recruit those along with everyone else.

I'll feel a lot better if we land both Holloman and Collins.
I don't expect nico Collins to come here. It's possible, but I don't expect it.
Holloman, i think we get to go with Mark Webb and Trey Blount. That will give us 3 receivers at 6'2". Not too bad...and we might get one surprise.

This is true.

Get him and move Gibbs to corner, then. I realize we can move Gibbs to corner without Jacoby....I just really like Jacoby Stevens.
As I said....I really like LeCount. But I've always expressed doubt about Jamyest Williams. I also know Jefferey Okudah has expressed some interest, so I am hoping we are going after him hard. Although, I know we are a long shot to get him over Ohio State, too. I'm confused a little, though. It seems in his film Okudah lines up at safety, but they have him listed as CB.

A lot of high schools put their best athlete at safety to cover the most possible ground. Recruiting services think he projects as a corner athletically.

It's been that way for a long time. I hadn't thought about it until you said it, though. He does seem to have the speed for CB, just looking at his film.

Damn dude you sure like to overanalyze. You were concerned about his size. I was just pointing out the kid has some serious hops. His football skills have been well documented.

Not really. I thought the difference between a jump ball in basketball and a pass were obvious. That isn't over analyzing. That's really obvious.

And I thought i was very obvious saying that I love Lecount...it is Williams I have concerns about. I wasn't making a case against LeCount. I was making a case against Williams.
ETA
I thought this was self explanatory:
Don't get me wrong...I LOVE LeCount,

LeCounte really wowed a lot of analysts at The Opening and other 7 on 7 camps because of his closing/recovery speed and his ability to make plays on the ball. He plays bigger than 5'10" due to his athletic ability, but he's not someone I would want in a SS role where he needs to deliver a blow to a receiver running a crossing patter. He's your classic "centerfielder" type of FS.

I understand....and I have no problem with Lecount at all. Williams is another story, though. From what I have seen/heard, he is closer to 5'8". I am just wishing/hoping for a bit more size than that. Lecount, to me, is on a completely different plane.

I know this is the '17 thread but maaan this '18 RB Lyn-J Dixon has been going off this year. Tonight he has 338yds on 27 carries, 5 TDs, annnnd a 70yd punt return for a TD. We offered him last month and he has had a monstrous season so far. Let's hope we lock him and Zamir White up for '18. That might be 2 of the best backs we've ever seen, and that's obviously a compliment to them as we don't know what they will look like in college and beyond but they look pretty special.

Anybody got any info about this kid Jake Skole kirby signed from the Texas Rangers. Appraently we went after him in 2010 and he choose the nerds.

This is the most random commit I can think of in recent history.

Big whoop.. he was a 3 star LB. just another sideline pigeon to fill the roster or special teams. Move on
Posted on 10/16/16 at 3:46 pm to GaDawg9977
Could be a good safety and seems to be very athletic. We need help in the secondary. 3 star doesn't automatically mean trash.

But if you have no hops whether you run down the field and judge the ball perfectly doesn't mean shite. His point was the dude can jump. You continue top be a shitty poster. Congratulations!
