Derrick Henry tweeted today UGA looks good for Tunsil. Great news.

Unlikely. Lake city means either FSU or Florida. Typically.

I think it all depends on how this year plays put. If we continue to ascend and UF stays in neutral, I think he is ours. Him and Henry being good friends does not hurt.

On another note, we have 3 of the top 10 instate already per 247. Got to love that

You're still ignoring FSU.

This'll be close, but I think UGA will be third for most of the process, with FSU or UF taking him.

I just don't know much about their influence on his recruitment and he just named UGA and UF his two early leaders, so I went from there. Definitely a LONG way to go.

Am I the only one that expected a little more from our Junior Day?

I would be shocked if we don't get at least a couple of quality commits. Between that and Dawgnight, I'd bet we're up to 10 commits by the start of the season

With the talent in the state, I am hoping that we are stronger than that before toe meets leather with those from the home of wings...

I would be comfortable sayign 10. OL's like Kublanow, Devine, and Seymour, then Langely and Tyren Jones are five guys I could see committing before the summer is out

ETA: Easily could be more (Uriah lemay and Tramel Terry, for example), but I'd be stoked to get those guys and then turn full attention toward Foster and Tunsil

And Valdosta typically means FSU, and Columbus many times means Auburn, but in the past few years we've pulled major talent out of those cities.

I'm not saying "Tunsil is ours!!!" or anything like that, but just because he's in a certain city doesn't necessarily mean we're out of it.

Tyler & WG -
You are two of the more level headed UGA posters on here. I respect your opinions, so I have a couple of questions for you:

1) Is Dawgrant even worth looking at?
2) what is your realistic thoughts on the percentage chance of Foster or Nkemdiche ending up at UGA?

I glanced at Dawgrant recently and it appears every poster there feels that Foster is going to switch and that it's only a matter of time. One has even gone as far as to claim the only reason he hasn't so far is b/c he is scared of the Bama backlash. Nothing could be further from the truth, obviously. He isn't "afraid" of anything. The guy has no link to back his "theory", nor does he seem to grasp that Foster is already commited to a school that he grew up pulling for, that his family loves, and that he has said is where his heart is.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on those two questions b/c i want to see how varied they are - if at all - from the posters on dawgrant.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dawgrant - It's worth looking at if you want a laugh, but nothing else. Info-wise, it's pretty terrible, and it is the fringiest of the fringe of the UGA fanbase regarding attitude toward what is going on. In their opinion, we should set fire to Butts-Mehre just so we can start rebuilding the program from ground level.

Re: Nkemdiche and Foster - I'd say our chances with Nkemdiche are 10%, Foster 50%

I think we have little to no shot at Nkemdiche, but according to some of those close to Foster and the Troup program, his switchign to UGA is a very, very real possibility and it will be until NSD. Obviously by no means a done deal, and Bama holds the upper hand by virtue that he is committed there currently, but it is going to be a bloody Bama-UGA battle for the kid (and I think both sides would agree that he is well worth pulling out all the stops for)

you keep reading the Bama-loving press. I'll keep trusting the guys who called Jordan Jenkins and Josh harvey-Clemons months in advance

I'd go with a 15% chance of RN and a 40% chance at RF.

It all depends on how our defense performs this year.

BTW, Ray Drew appears to be officially moving to DE and Josh Harvey-Clemons will start out at Safety (a la Alec Ogletree) then move up to LB when he bulks up
