Samuel's Law states that:

For big body athletes, 2 years at RB+RS year and switch to LB+option of switching back to RB in an emergency=SUCCESS.

That's a nice insurance policy.

Added Chris Mayes to the commitment list (he's bee committed since signing and placing in 2011). Also added Hunter Henry, a TE out of Little Rock, to the offer list. Henry is originally from Cobb County.

Brendan Langley has been offered by 4-5 SEC schools now (including Bama, Tenn, SC, MSU, and UGA) all within the past week. He is a 6 corner with 4.4 speed. Kid is gonna be a baller

quote:

" To get the first offer, period, was like a sigh of relief. And for it to be from my hometown school in Georgia, I was in awe. Georgia was my favorite school growing up. It is my home-state program and there is just something about that red and black that I love. Hopefully things continue to go well between us in the next few months.”

For disclosure purposes, i found the above information from another board.

All that sounds really good. We're definitely focusing on DB's this time around and he would be a GREAT pickup. Let's not let this kid get away.

Langley will be a Dawg; coaches have made him a priority for our DB class.

Tunsil names Dawgs and Gators his top two. Pretty sure I read somewhere, maybe even here, that he's close with D Henry?

Yes, they're very good friends and Henry is recruiting him for us. I'd say UF leads right now but we do have an ace in the hole with DH.

Also, rumor is a big commit tomorrow for the defense.

I heard it was supposed to be a running back. Who knows.

Tramel Terry retweeted that too and was talking about being back at UGA end of the month. Sounds like he's still going to be a dawg.

We do have one defensive recruit who has committed to our coaches and who could make it public soon. If I had to guess I'd say it's either Wayne Gallman from Grayson or Johnny O'Neal today. Outside chance for Langley, but I think he kind of wants to play the recruiting game for a little while since he's new to it.

yeah, just read that. Also, looks like it might have been Keyante Green, who we've been recruiting at DB...he's just short.

JUCO OT Trenton Brown (GMC) received an offer today. 4 star OG Tyrone Crowder, from NC, received an offer yesterday.

Doesnt matter until Bama decides they dont want the recruit. Once they offer its over.

It looks like he may have been the one who was going to commit yesterday but the coaches had a change of heart. These are some things from his twitter account that were posted on LHB...

quote:

Wanted to be a dawg...

I'm looking forward to beating down your school

I really thought you wanted me

Recruiting is so cheap

Just upset about what happened today

"IF" we turned him down, maybe it means we're already full at the position with a silent from either Jones or Dye who are both higher on our board.

We like Jones and Dye better. This kind of thing sucks for the kid but we have higher on our board. We could've been like alabama and took his commitment then told him before signing day we're getting someone else. I would sincerely hope that if we told him no thanks then we must feel REALLY good about getting one of those other 2 guys.
