That quote was funny, seemed like the reporter asked "Does UGA have a chance?" LoL

Take it easy on the #socrow usage. We don't wanna wear it out. It loses power being thrown out consistently like that

Tray Matthews said that we should expect another commit "soon"...kid was right about the first one, hope he's right about this one, too.

Can't wait for this kid to get on campus. Seems like a huge team guy and a GREAT safety prospect.

This. I think he will be our best recruiter this year. No question about it. I hope he stays in RFs ear up to signing day.

And I will take it easy on it. I only use it when bama fans say something I find unintelligent. I guess that happens more often than I thought.

We offered OG Josh Cardiello and WR/DB Brendan Langley today, as well.

Dawgs offer 2013 ILB Reggie Carter.. LINK

quote:

6'0'', 220 lbs.
40: 4.95
South Gwinnett HS

Transferred from Stephenson High, and Tore His ACL... Had 73 tackles and 10.5 sacks midway through 2011 season prior to tearing ACL.

“They are in great shape, Georgia is in really good shape right now,” Carter said. “I love the campus, love the coaching staff. I like the 3-4 system, and I loved what they were telling me about how they run their defense. They did not sign any inside linebackers last year, so that gives them an edge. I talked with my family and we would like to get my decision out of the way before the season.”

Trey posted this in the Bama recruiting thread, but I can't believe he wasn't considerate enough to put it here too since it relates to both schools:

quote:

in an interview with ESPN's Greg Ostendorf, Foster responded to the question "The state of Georgia is loaded in 2013. Are you talking to some of the other top players about coming to Alabama with you?" by saying, "I’m always talking to them. Tray Matthews and Trey Johnson have said they want to play with me, but they have made a commitment to their schools. Robert Nkemdiche said he is going to play with me, so I believe he will pick Alabama."

I think Tray Matthews stays with UGA. I think Trey Johnson stays with AU. I think Foster stays with Bama. The real prize to be had - since all others are already committed - is Nkemdiche.

Derrick Henry is attending UF's JR day this weekend, and he will leave again being told we won't take him as a RB. I honestly wish he wouldn't even come unless he's open to playing another position.

In 2 days Brendan Langley has picked up 4 SEC offers. Grew up a UGA fan and UGA leads right now. 6'0" CB/S prospect and his recruitment is blowing up.

It's hard to deny the fact that he would be a UF commit right NOW if he was told last year we would take him as a RB. UF was up front with him, and told him they wouldn't promise him a chance at RB. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

He's a great player, and will be good at UGA, but I doubt it's going to be at RB.

I would have told Henry you'll get your shot playing RB in your first spring game and see how it goes from there. He has to know that playing another position is highly likely unless he's just unstoppable.
