why would we move JHC inside? I thought he was an OLB?

Feel free to believe some "insider" who probably has never even talked to Foster. We will keep believing quotes directly from Fosters mouth like this one a week ago

First rule of recruitniking: Never believe an official word/quote from any verbal commit or prospect.

These are by far the most unreliable of all info. Follow the actions and the buzz surrounding the recruit. There is really no better barometer for how interested a recruit is in your school than how much traffic is on the threads mentioning a name over the course of the year, not just after an official or well-publicized unofficial visit/camp. This rule does apply to the "right" boards, leaving the DawgRant out in the cold. There are a few very reliable UGA boards out there and, if they are talking about a recruit, it is because the recruit is talking to the coaches. It certainly doesn't mean a commit, but it definitely means the interest is there. Oh, and Foster will supposedly be making his way to a JR day in Athens this weekend.

I figures safety is where his body type fits best for right now. I mean tall kid, nose for the ball, and he has ball-hawking skills as a receiver? Not a bad guy to send out there with Moore and Deas when Rambo and Williams need a break

Im with you, just wish he could be with the LB to learn with them for the future. But if it helps the team more for him to be at S. Then I am all for it. Like I said CTG knows best. Welcome to the Junkyard Dawgs JHC.

Awesome. He's been to both of Bama's JR days so far and has been actively recruiting at both. Nkemdiche at the first and DeMarcus Walker at the second:

Of course UGA will continue to recruit him - as they well should. However, I see this being UGA's version of Tebow for Bama. We had tons of signs that he was seriously considering us, but in the end we couldn't overcome the lure of playing for his favorite team. Chances are the same will happen to UGA in this case. You'll still have a top 5 class, so don't get all butthurt just because someone is saying your chances to land a kid who is committed to the team he & his family grew up pulling for, in a state where he grew up until recently, and for a coach he loves, aren't as high as you'd like to believe.

Ugh, we're not going to be butthurt if a kid that's committed elsewhere ends up signing there. If a kid doesn't want to be in Athens, i think we're all ok with that. What it boils down to is that UGA fans think we have a shot, and Bama fans refuse to believe that UGA has a shot. The only thing we're going to agree on is that we aren't going to agree....and that chizik doesn't have teeth.

1) Is Dawgrant even worth looking at?

No, no, 1000 times no. There's only 2 types of fans on there; the doom and gloomers who think Richt should've been fired after 2006 and do nothing but constantly shite on the program and take every opportunity to trash it (this is the majority from what I've seen) and the few who think we can do no wrong and are the elite of football and we'll never lose another game. I haven't been there in months because it's so awful but that's what I found in the summer when I did read it.

2) what is your realistic thoughts on the percentage chance of Foster or Nkemdiche ending up at UGA?

RN- 5%
RF- 45%

Added WR Tony Stevens, OT Joshua Outlaw, OLB Reginald Carter, and DB Marqui Hawkins to the offer list.

Stevens is a tall and speedy WR out of Florida who I've heard probably won't leave the state and holds a UF offer. The Outlaw offer is long overdue, in my opinion. Though he plays OT right now, his future is inside at guard and is one of the top 3 interior linemen in-state (after Kublanow and Jeremi Hall); this is, again, my opinion. Hawkins is a tall and rangey DB out of Carver-Columbus...let's hope he doesn't turn out like the last DB UGA wanted out of Carver. Not too familiar with Carter but his offer sheet is amazing.

You people are funny who are thinking you'll get RF simply because he's already committed. Like TD said, until he stops taking visits or signs the LOI it's not over. Darick Rogers was committed to us for like 8 months before switching in the final week. Why? Because he wanted to play with his good friend somewhere else. We're 11 got dang months away from NSD, his recruitment is FAR from over.

However, I don't think we have a prayer with RN. That one's pretty much over with and has been for a while. I think us having a 5% chance is generous.

Can we not argue about Foster until he signs. I know it's way too much to ask for but it would keep me from wanting to gouge my eyes out.

Foster is committed to Bama, yes we get it. BUT he has said he is going to play with Tray Matthews and wants to play with Shaq Wiggins, both committed to UGA. He's taken surprise visits to UGA. He has said he loves both schools.

Let's leave it at that. He loves both but is committed to Bama and it will be a major coup (in 11 months) if we are able to turn him.

So unless something new (not Dawgrant insiders) comes out about him, can we shelve the Foster talk? Please? It's for my own sanity.

Foster has also said Auburn is like "family" and has made a ton of visits to their campus. Besides him saying he would like to play with Tray Mathews (another GA guy he's recruiting to Bama but lets just ignore that also) whats makes you think you have a better shot then them?

If the stuff you guys have listed gives UGA a "45%" or a "50%" chance, then what % should Auburn (a school from his home state, not far from his family and that is in big need of LB's) have? They deserve at least a 20 or 30 right?

With all the talent instate next year and the guys out of state that have named us leaders (or in their current group of leaders) we could concede RN and RF to Bama and still finish with a better class than them. This is not something to fret about, especially when it's almost a year away.
