True that. Only bar I've ever been cut off in

I always tell people to stop by to say they've been and list the bars I like going to.

I guess my dirty secret is that I don't enjoy midnight yell. Cool tradition, and I'm glad we have it, but I had other business to attend to at 12 am Friday night/Saturday morning.

Anybody else remember the Spirit Walker shot they used to do? That thing was awesome. LINK

Yeah, me too. When I went there for the last time in '79... oh, wait. But Chipotle's was MUCH better, I'm sure of that. Kinda.

The Chicken is the only hangout/eatery that has survived since the Jurassic period, as far as I know. Sparky's (directly across Texas Ave. from the main entrance) was a popular joint for CTs. Lakeview was a huge C&W dance hall with Wednesday $0.25 beer night that was very popular, but it has since turned into what looks like a weird disco throwback.

The best eats were The Country Kitchen (burned down) and Dead Solid Perfect - hamburgers to kill for and stage for Lyle and Robert Earl.

I can't think of any good secrets. I used all the hot water after a frigid hunting/camping weekend in November, leaving SafetySam without any. And I laughed about it. Almost felt guilty about it, too. Maybe.

I also think hissing is stupid, but I think that's a general consensus now.

Chipotle turns me into a fount of anal expulsion. Cannot go there.

Freebirds does not do that to me so by that measure alone it is infinitely better.

The other one I have that isn't really a secret is I call Texas "Texas", even on the internet.

I thought we all did that?

Short for Texas University.

Chicken sucks. It's run down, smells like piss and puke, and the food is terrible.

If not for the full-retard fascination of the Chicken by Aggie lore, that dump would have shut down a long time ago.

I don't think hissing itself is stupid. I like it for when the opposing team runs in or there's some minor bad call, but you better believe I booed til I turned blue when RSJ got booted for targeting.

I actually like the Chicken to hang out at late afternoon and drink some pitchers and play pool. Burgers are good also. On game weekends when it's packed or to go out late at night and drink a lot though it's not the place.

I hate the fact that all the chain restraints showed up and killed off the old places, getting to where there a only a handful left.

- I have never voted for a repulican
- I dislike all corps turds unless they enlist
- I despise pickup trucks (unless you actually haul shite on a weekly basis)
- I don't wear cargo shorts

This should not qualify as a dirty secret

I didn't enlist. I commissioned, and the number of commissions available is capped by federal law.

That's the area that smells the worst. It's pungent.

They're just burgers. Nothing tasty or great about them. The fries taste like cheap cafeteria fries though.

When I was a student, if the chicken was packed, so where other bars. But on Game day, it always baffled me how many opponent fans would go to the Chicken as if it were on their bucket list. It's probably the last place I would go on gameday.
