Anyone spot corrections needed, sing out pls.
I think we compare quite nicely. We probably have room for another 15 - 20 suites in the south end zone for future expansion. I will wager our suites kick any other suites asses.
Then you factor in seating in the suite. I'm pretty sure we have over 2,000 seats within our suites. They seat anywhere from 16 to 28 per.

Well done
So we aren't lagging behind really.
I also am curious to know what the suite capacity comparison would reveal

Not at all once Kyle is done. 2 years ago we were a laughing stock.

Not that it really matters, but I'm almost positive this isn't right even though I have no idea what is considered "premium." The Zone Club is like 1900 seats. The entire 2nd deck of the West side is now club plus there is loge seating. Club seating alone we've got to be 8-10k.

Throw in lodge too and you are correct. Way, way over 1900.

Saw a new rendering today that showed some kind of grey-looking track around the field. I know this topic has been beaten to death elsewhere, but I don't see how this could work. The transition from the field to the outer "strip" of whatever it is takes place right at the edge of the back of the endzones. Is it possible that players catching passes at the back of the endzone will then land on a hard surface of some kind? That's hard to believe.

I think it is the same spacing as the old layout. I could be wrong though

yep, it's pretty close to the same as last year with the retaining wall. It only looks close because they haven't pained lines yet.

What are the specifics on the crowd being closer to the field that we've heard so much about?
Posted on 8/9/15 at 10:16 am to Nguyening
It was already closer on 3/4 sides last year.
You can see where the field was and where the wall is. I would say that is the best visual of how much closer the stands are even if its not exact.

does anyone know the dimension change?

I see grass on the track. I think?
Posted on 8/9/15 at 8:53 pm to Farmer1906
I thought it was going to be the rubberized track stuff like they have in a lot of horse track paddocks
Posted on 8/9/15 at 8:56 pm to AgBQ00
It looked like it was but unless I'm just seeing it wrong it's grass on top.

I hope you're right.
But why does this have to be such a mystery?

It hasnt been publicized, but there was a huge dust up between various university higher ups and boosters about this. Basically, most wanted to do away with the corps march in because they didnt want to spend the extra time and money to reinforce the fringe area of the field and wanted to just make everything grass. A very vocal minority of administrators and boosters pitched a shite fit and forced the issue.
Supposedly it cost an extra $10 million to do this.
