I try to check in every now and then, but I try not to contribute on things if I don't have a good feel for them, especially on other teams' boards because that can come off as pretty ignorant. But there's also a lot less trolling over here which is nice because you can get meaningful football (and other sports) discussion.

High school football recruiting has changed so much since I was playing in the 1980s. Nobody committed before their junior year back then.

This kid must just have alot of self confidence and want to play in our offense. There is no shortage of Pac12 schools closer to home that aren't shy about throwing the ball. This is one commitment that I wasn't expecting.

I suppose this means we won't bother recruiting a QB for the upcoming class.

Looking at the board now and besides Brandon Jones, I don't see another 5* player that we're in position to land. Am I missing somebody? Felt like in the spring we were in a position to land 2-3 of em

Little and Monroe are our best shots at 5 stars.

Duvernay and Willie Allen are both top 50 players nationally that we have a shot at

Were really not after duvernay because the brother package deal.

Tyrie Cleveland will probably continue to rise in the rankings, he's the fastest player in the country.

Yeah I think we have a really good shot at flipping Monroe. I think he's already an LSU commit, can't remember. He'd be a big get for us. He'd start immediately

Deontay Anderson had some good things to say about the D and said we are in his top 3. Nice to hear from someone who had kind of disappeared off the radar

The ball is truly in our court. If we perform well, we have a chance at a lot of elite prospects.

Definitely. Even if we add Jones and Cuffee I think we have a pretty solid haul at DB

Not sure how many corners we are planning on taking. I would think safety will be pretty limited

Gosh, some LSU fans really get pissed and down vote the crap out of y'all. I think I've said this before, but if Chavis can get the defense turned around and have a couple really good games I think that will do wonders for defensive recruiting. He can point to those games and say "look at what happens when our defense comes together. We need a couple more guys like you and we'll make this happen all the time and put ourselves in NC contention."

If Strong can get his defense together which I wouldn't be surprised to see, they may be able to steal some recruits away, but I think it really could hurt teams that have been consistently nabbing defensive recruits in Texas like LSU, Bama, and OU.

i mean, its not like texas didnt have a top 25 defense last year. it ultimately doesnt matter. i hate the stupid SECSECSEC but it has been proven time and time again that recruits in the state of texas are interested in playing in the SEC. if a&m has a top 50/40 defense, it will resonate with recruits greater than texas having a top 20/15 defense

whenever you think players and recruits don't read the boards, think again. Remember Richard Moore posted a screenshot of comments on tArk last year
