And Chavis is the biggest "recruit" we landed of all. A Bears friend in Waco told me we went from unranked to #18 in what of the rating services for '17. He didn't realize that's with only one recruit. Can't wait for the ASU game.

i agree. chavis is easily the biggest staff move sumlin has made. also a much needed move.

if he doesn't redshirt a year, he'll be a freshman when kyler is a junior. thats not too bad. 2 to 3 years to start. most kids only get 2 or 3 now because of leaving early.

He's a 2017 guy, when he is a RS-Frosh Murray will be a senior if he is even still here.

Great get, but I don't see him redshirting his freshman year. 5* QBs hardly ever get redshirted, because almost all of them want to compete for playing time their freshman year. I see him being Murray's back up for a year or two, and then having the chance to start himself. Giving him the idea he'll redshirt makes it more likely he'll look elsewhere IMO.

meant to say if he doesnt redshirt, but yeah, talented kids are leaving in 3 or 4 years either way, redshirt or not.
