Despite not offering til last week, we recruited him pretty hard all along. It's pretty clear he was a top target.
Nobody missed him for lack of camps. He lit up the Nike Combine in Dallas for instance. He's the #7 RB in the nation on Rivals. The reason he's "low" rated on some of the other sites is purely grades. Recruiting sites just each treat qualification issues differently. Some totally ignore it. Some lower rankings. It makes no sense to me but whatevs
In the first round of the 2014 playoffs vs Temple, Boyd went HAM with 421 yards and 5 TDs on 38 carries but Stratford still lost. He's a talent and doesn't really matter what he's ranked.

I've noticed 247 plays that game with grades. Doesn't make sense to me, if the ranking of more specifically the rating is supposed to be tied to talent. Just because a kid doesn't qualify doesn't make him any less of a prospect. He just won't count in the end.

I'm generally okay with it when a kid has no shot of qualifying. It muddies up the waters. I just hate when it's a guy no one really knows about and he's lower ranked because of grades.
But 247 is really the worst when it comes to it. They are incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes they give them a demerit and sometimes they don't. All those sip qualification risks didn't get dinged at all

That was my next question/comment. Not specifically their guys, but it seems like they pick and choose, even on guys that it's widely known to fans of most teams recruiting them.
Definitely have to look at the whole picture, bc offer lists can be misleading as well.
I knew we were recruiting Boyd, but hadn't looked at him much. 10 yards a carry for 250+ carries is unreal in any scenario.

Does the 247 update on Little have any interesting/important info?
Posted on 9/2/15 at 11:25 am to swaggyp
Haven't we talked about not coming here to simply to get another site's info? Come on man.

WR Dee Anderson, LSU commit and formerly of West Mesquite, had his appeal to transfer to Desoto officially denied.
For those not familiar, he was booted from the WM football program in the spring

Everything I've heard, including from LSU fans, is people think he ends up at Texas. Are you thinking the same thing?

If we did, I don't remember it. I don't see anything wrong with giving the highlights and then linking the full article.

I'm all for linking articles, discussion about articles, whatever, but the only time the guy posts in this thread is asking people for other sites info.
That said, if I'm off base here, my bad.

Think y'all are both right. I'm very much on record of hating the business model but it is a business. Sites sell content and that's cool to talk about that content and on occasion even ask about it.
But personally think it's wrong when every time a pay article is written someone comes and requests the info from it. If you want someone's pay info that bad, then you should pay them for it.
But honestly, there are ways to do it without coming across like you want to steal their content. Instead of hey - someone who pays for info give that to me for free. Try starting a discussion about Little and his recruitment and someone would almost certainly chime in with what Hamm said since it's fresh content.

No idea. I haven't kept up with his recruitment really, I just find the case fascinating and I'm equally fascinated that LSU and Texas are still recruiting him hard. He may be a great kid. I dunno. But the warning signs are all there lit up in fricking neon.

I'll post however I'd like but thanks for your two cents. If you don't wanna share the info then you obviously don't have to

He already had a reputation before the last incident that got him kicked off, and it's clear with how his appeal went, how HS coaches felt about what they know.
Posted on 9/2/15 at 12:12 pm to Nguyening
If I remember correctly, he got in an assistant coach's face
