My guess would be pretty legit- Freeze seems good personality wise and they have been doing well. Their campus life and vibe is good from what I understand.

Plus they can sell SEC West too.

Doesn't Lodge have some family connections in Mississippi as well or am I thinking of someone else?

He lived in Mississippi until he went to HS or something like that

And it would be nice to minimize the damage.

From a perspective standpoint all three going to Texas is worse than Kyler going to Texas, Lodge going to Ole Miss and Mack going to TCU. Neither situation is great because we want those people, but if they all go to Texas then ESPN is going to fluff that "Texas is Back" bandwagon all offseason.

Heck Texas will try to push that narrative just with a Kyler flip, but when they are sitting in every final recruiting ranking lower than us it will be a hard sell.

Another thing few are considering is how bad off Charlie will be if he finishes second in many of these races. Right now hope in his regime is tied to Malik and maybe Kyler. If going into 2015 all they have to get excited about is this Malik kid that gave us a quote that we have way more potential than Charlie is screwed from a perspective standpoint.

Eventually the causal Texas fan is going to notice and care about his recruiting. I expected a melt last NSD but all that got put on Mack. If Charlie finishes way below us this NSD it is all on him, and those casual fans (who don't follow recruiting and who expected the number 1 class because they purged so many people and they are Texas) might finally start beating the drums.

Charlie is desperate for a good reason, and normally recruits/women don't want to hook up with the desperate guy.

Saw this on the news section of tRant. Boy am I glad we didn't get the Mattison/Durkin innovative deal and landed Chavis instead.

While some fans may view it that way, it's really not fair to blame him for the decisions of 20-30 18 year old kids.

No, not fair to compare Charlie to Sumlin. Clear cut mismatch.

But Charlie's team goes less than 9 wins it's all on him. He took the highest rated pool of senior talent and made them in to 6-7 juggernauts. He cannot coach at this level and Briles, stoops, gundy,Patterson, Schneider, holgerson are all his superiors. He's not at Louisville anymore

Doesn't matter who he signs, tu will win no more than 8 while he is coach there

I think if Kyler goes to Texa$$ there is something shady going on. 2 weeks ago he had zero interest. Same with Daylon.

My final guess is hill, boyd, murray, mack to texas. Lodge to ole miss, with the possibility of mack going to tcu. Aggies 0 for 4. 12/19 melt 2.0

Oh yeah, and Bussey never flips. So 0 for 5 on former commits & aggy leans.

Agreed 100%, but this is the T-shirt sip I am talking about. The fault is always with some coach, either the old one or the new one.

I dont feel too bad for Charlie though, he gets paid a lot for someone who depends on 18 year olds.

Probably for the best regardless. I don't get why people even follow sports teams and things they can't control if they have that negative of an outlook

Yeah I imagine I'll be gone a while no matter the outcome. Either I'll be too depressed and won't visit here, or I'll be too happy and get banned for trolling.

But I wanted to see everyone else's final guesses on the major targets we still have out there.

What is the point of guessing? I mean I don't know what any of them are doing. I cannot control it. The site I pay for info from doesn't know. The reports of what the kids are telling coaches conflict. At this point only a few if any have any real idea what is going to happen. We could land Boyd, Hill, Mack, Lodge, Shef, Smith, Bussey, Warren, and keep Kyler or we could get none of them. Likely its somewhere in the middle and I'm not going to stress about it too much.

Same random person on TA said Murray & Lodge to OV to tu this weekend. I really hope that is not true.
