It is.
However, we had a linebacker do that with the 2010 class named Corey Nelson. He signed all of his tweets with "Mr. Texas A&M" and proceeded to flip on signing day to Oklahoma after lying to the coaching staff when they called him out on it (Venables advised him to do this).

There's always a concern.
But Mack is also trying to recruit half the state to A&M. Unless he has some secret plan to flip every Texas 4* and 5* to LSU at the last minute (the one place he HASN'T announced, then cancelled, an OV) I think we're good with him.

Until Mack signes his LOI, he's still a Corey Nelson waiting to happen.

Can we not talk about him please? That one still hurts, I will always hate OU for Mr. A&M.
If there is one thing I am confident about, it is that this staff won't get Corey Nelsoned.

Daylon spoke of getting Kris Boyd. I've read Kendall Sheffield is the only other CB we're taking. Is this still true? I really wish we'd take Kris too.

It seems like a simular approach they took with Myles Garrett last year with Sheffield. Keep him close to the fold and everyone else at an arms length until NSD time comes around then proceed accordingly with complimentary pieces. I think after Kendall announces at the under-armour game, you will see a push for Boyd or Hill. Hopefully Hill. If we don't get either one, frick it... move on to 2016.

Except for the fact that Cunningham and Johnson are Strongside ends and Garrett is a Weakside end, that is correct.

Johnson committed before Garrett and Cunningham was a legacy player so I'm sure Garrett could understand that. I just remember hearing a couple other top DE prospects reached out to Sumlin/Terry Price late in the recruiting process last year and we turned them away so we don't confuse or scare off Garrett or something along those lines.
