In a mess? Why? Cause they are pass first?

Because my fiancee of all people can watch the Saints play and tell you what the play is when Ingram is in the game.

No. I was laughing that an LSU fan was using Ridley as an argument. Ingram does suck in the league though.

Sorry. Didn't mean to speak for you.

Ahh yeah. Haha

Ingram wouldn't be in any better situation though. He's not a feature back on any NFL team IMO.

Best possible scenario IMO. Any running back can be successful at Alabama right now. LF to Alabama pushes Roc to Auburn, which is exactly where he needs to be with his skill set to begin with.

Agreed to an extent. If he and another back were working as a 1-2 punch (multiple plays each before taking a break) then I think he'd do well. He would complement a guy like MJD well.

I want Roc if we don't land LF, but I agree with you, Roc is probably a better fit for Gus' offense.

We've always got Bo, he could be great for us at RB or WR, so whichever works.

I like Bo at WR (or even HB) for us, but even having said that, he is a more natural RB for us than Roc.

Yeah, I'd like to think of Bo's shiftiness as a taller Mark Ingram with more power and probably faster.

Bo would be best as a WR IMO. He's just more natural in that role from what I've seen.

To tell the truth, not sure where Bo would be best suited. Just hope it doesn't take our staff years to figure it out.

My comments are more based on watching Roc's film than Bo's. Roc just looks like the prototypical Gus back to me (although I think he could be successful in either system).

Ingram's in a mess with the Saints.

Yeah playing behind one of the best guard duos in the league and a top 10 center. With Aaron Kromer as the O line coach/running game coordinator, one of the best in the league. Must have been really tough for him. The saints had the 6th ranked rushing offense in 2009 and 2011. No idea how the other running backs have had success playing in such a mess of a rushing attack

Because every other RB the last 2 seasons on the Saints have done well and Ingram has not. Clearly he's setup for failure.

Will never understand the argument/pitch:

"The RB who won the Heisman trophy, a Natty, and got drafted in the first round after playing at Bama for three years isn't really that talented so you (very talented HS RB) should not go there."

That would just make me want to go to Bama more. Hell after that guy "busted" according to these same people the next Bama back went #3 overall.

I dont either, but I wasn't talking about that at all.

Bottom line for Fournette is his pitch to stay home is "we have set this up perfectly just for you to be the guy as soon as you step on campus, stay home, make your parents happy and be the man for 3 years before going in the 1st round of the NFL draft". Period, that's all I would say over and over.

For Bama I'd say "We have this set up perfectly for you to come in and share carries with TJ, then be the man. Your parents will be happy no matter where you go because they want what is best for you, so stay here three years before going in the first round of the draft, and win three titles along the way. You can be good, hell you can be great, but if you want history to remember you, you wanna be a champion."

Then we can show those player's track record in the NFL vs Ridley's. especially that sorry excuse for a RB, Ingram.

Then Burns can show LF film and compare carry totals to prove how Les misused and underutilized Ridley at LSU

Then he can walk Fournette into the trophy room and let him hold Ingram's Heisman

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, you do realize Ridley was tied for 2nd in most rushing attempts in 2010 (sec), right?
