Akers has stated he wants to be the focal point on offense in a run heavy offense. Doesnt seem like Ole Miss is a likely destination as long as Freeze is there, dude doesnt use his RBs. Granted that could all just be hogwash.

I don't think you understand what Ole Miss has had available at RB until the end of last year. Finally have a pick of 3 RBs bigger than 200lbs this year whereas years past CHF had 165-175 lbs scat backs.

Freeze has NEVER used his RBs anywhere he's been, go back to his 2 years at Arkansas State...hell go back to his days at Lambuth. It's not a part of his offense to run the football with the RB to any high frequency. He'd rather an athletic QB who can throw and make plays with his feet.
I also think it's an excuse to blame what kind of RBs he has on his roster 4 and 5 years into his career at Ole Miss. He could have fixed that years ago if he wanted to.

I can't think of a single Ole Miss RB other than Deuce.

If you're a UT fan I would think you would remember Dexter Mccluster. His game against UT and what he did to Eric berry would have been his heisman tape if nutt wasn't an idiot and had him at running back all year.

Because that's what MSU, LSU and Bama boosters want to hear ... I like the way Cam plays the game in his interviews.

If being close to home matters, don't count out the Tigers. BR is only two hours from Clinton. Can't hurt that he will be hanging out with Guice and LF7 this weekend ;-)
