Brown goes where his sister goes. LSU leads for that.

Source? There is no reliable track recruiting site. A&M is saying they lead for Beloved and LSU is saying that they do.

I have seen you in action on Texaggy. It's a waste of time to debate with you as you don't revisit after being proven wrong. Heisman, Sumlin recruiting ability, season record, etc.

Source? GA

Kind of narrows it down who you are. There are only a hand full of people that are butt hurt by my posts (and even more so where those posts were posted) to not just answer the question.

What would I be butt-hurt about? I am not the one that was wrong, completely wrong on those things.

Read again. I did answer.

enjoy your day, and sumlin's inability to recruit. :)

We can discuss those items you mention ... I was "completely wrong" on one of them that I admitted.

The others I had a valid position that I took and defended, period.

You didn't happen to get banned over there recently (like the last few days) did you? Just trying to figure out which of 2 or 3 posters you are.

No. I'll be glad to PM you, I was not trying to hide myself.

If you admitted it, I didn't see it, and then I have no bone to pick.

Moving on, the source is a grad assistant from one of the two schools discussed.

The secondary is the least of my concerns regarding recruiting next year. The talent pool is so deep, and Sumlin won't miss in deep years like Fran or Sherm did.

I want DEs, bad.

see you guys are after prevot (13) and teammate taylor (14). what are you guys hearing about hardeman? will he stick to LSU or end up elsewhere for whatever reason? don't really matter recruiting wise but just interested to know.

I don't think you need to worry about us in relation to Hardeman. I'm sure at this point he does not hold an offer any longer. Unless UTx gets involved, and I've never heard them as major players with Hardeman, I think he's safely in the LSU camp. We'll probably continue to stay in contact in case things change, but as of now, I think we're entirely focused on Tony Brown.

Very good chance that Sumner-Gardner ends up at A&M - almost committed this past weekend. Brown will go where his sister goes, and for some unexplicable reason it appears Baylor leads for Damian Hall...

Apparently his girlfriend goes there.

I could definitely see LSU getting both Brown and Paris, but I could also see a 50/50 split.

Also, from this Jr day I wouldn't be surprised to see Whitley, Garrett, and Martin commit in the next few months. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see A&M in Braden Smith's OV list this Fall.

What are the numbers like for yalls class next year? I know yall turned away Hampton because yall are full at LB, or at least his LB position.

Is that just a positional thing, or are the numbers in the overall class limited?

We probably end up with a class of about 18. We aren't going to have a lot of seniors next year and we replenished up to the 85 this off-season. If I had to guess on positions for the '14 class, it would look like this

QB - 0
RB - 1
WR - 3
TE - 1
OL - 3
DE - 2
DT - 1
OLB - 2
ILB - 1
CB - 2
S - 2

Hampton is an OLB and we are now full there.

LSU didn't offer because Ellis never came to any of LSU's camps.

Just curious ... Do your numbers include Kohl? Also do they assume we close out with both Hall and Prevot?

Rivals has Retting ranked #3 pro style QB and stewart @ #15.

Rivals also has Jennings as the #6 dual threat QB.

Scout has Retting ranked almost identical to stewart. He's only one slot lower. Much wider margin for Retting on rivals.

I'm more interested in the 247 ranking, as Rivals is getting worse and worse in their rankings. It's all because Ketch's LSR is some incredibly skewed.

Well, Stewart and Hill are pretty much the best 2 QB's in Texas this year and Texas has produced the best QB's in college football for the last several years including the last 2 Heisman winners and the first 3 QB's taken in the draft last year. I think we will be ok.

With showers transferring, Stewart to MLB and Johnny possibly leaving early for NFL, we could have only Sr Joeckel and Jr Davis and K hill as QB's. We will take one in 2014.

I think 2 could be the number at CB but we wouldn't turn down Brown.

This whole class will be elite all around since its so small

Do you see what manziel is doing right now as a student? He's a 5 year student/4 year starter for A&M

Manziel is an academic Junior who may well get his undergrad degree before he starts his football Junior season. He is a business major so he may want to hang around and pick up an MBA since A&M has an outstanding MBA program but needing to stay in school is certainly not a reason he will stick around.
