Tank Davis first to commit

All you need to know--just watch these clips:

He grew up watching t.u. (which is where Derrick Dockery, also from Lakeview Centennial, attended) but wasn't interested in going there.

My SO (a Lakeview grad) is very excited about this development.

I know you have more than one jr. day but this seemed to be the one with the most highly regarded recruits. i have to believe t. brown invited to this one and he skipped out and went all the way out of state for a little known camp/combine. very interesting.

I'd be surprised if A&M brought in anyone that isn't a highly regarded recruit to Jr days at this point. Already 8 commits of a class of 20 or so. Everyone committed so far is a likely 4 or 5 Star. A&M is able to very selective. Not saying that is anything different than LSU or Bama but right now A&M is playing in the same sandbox for certain.

I also wouldn't count any chickens on top rated TX recruits going to LSU any more than A&M counting on top rated La recruits. LSU was shut out in Texas for '13. With both in the SEC it's just a different game.

If being shut out means actively pursuing only two guys and missing out then yea we were shut out.

RSJ and Barrett ... Those are the only 2 I can think of.

A&M made up a lot of ground with Solomon Thomas, too.

so Tony Brown skipped the a&m jr. day to come to la. for a little known camp. very interesting!!

I could be wrong but I don't remember Brown ever indicating that he would be at this camp. Not sure if he was invited or not (I would imagine so) but him not being there was not expected.

he was invited. He told the coaches he couldn't make it due to a prior commitment. He will go to another JR day. I don't think anyone expected him there yesterday.

Yes, ever head of not trolling everything related to A&M? I know we're in your head but try and calm down a little, you look desperate.

From what I can see the LSU 2013 Class has 27 Commits and yet not a single one from Texas. LSU has had at least 3 Texas commits (and often more) for the last decade or so. If you honestly think LSU is taking a class that size and yet didn't want anyone from the state with 27 million people in it next door then I don't know what to tell you.

2014 may be better but we will have to see. At this point last year I thought LSU would get several of the guys A&M ended up landing in Texas.

Brown comes down to his sister - if she commits to LSU, then he will as well. If she commits to A&M - he might. Paris may be an LSU lock, and he may not. I think LSU is set up for a monster 2014 class, but so is A&M. At this rate, we will have the best class of the "Texas" teams in 2014.

Now, 2015 and beyond, I expect to see less and less recruits lost to LSU if A&M has no drop off on the field. At the very least, there will be a LOT more recruiting battles between the two schools.

a&m has a very little shot with noil and willis. both their parents have known wilson for years and have been recruited by LSU for over a year. paris is virtually the same as noil and willis with regards to LSU connections and time we have been recruiting him. Brown is connected to haley and the only reason I heitate mildly on him is that it might be hard to convince hootie, brown and paris to come to LSU in the same year.

Then Willis is just screwing with our coaches or something. He and Noil had a great time this weekend, and were very impressed. LSU fans are sounding a little like the Texas fans I knew who thought they were entitled to the elite talent in Texas, just because they are Texas.

LSU has had to fight with Alabama, and now A&M will be working the borders as well. At the very least, every minute you spend defending against us for the elite LA talent, is less time you can spend in Houston.

Define "working". I'm sure you guys will offer the top recruits from here because you almost have to but outside of general courteousness by said recruits you will still be relegated to signing the guys we didnt offer.
