I don't necessarily have a problem with female authors as I've liked several books written by female authors. The power fantasy/mary sue tropes that you see with female authors and female protagonists is fairly annoying though....

re: Cloud Library?

Cloud Library is a super janky app, but it's way better about wait/hold times for books. Just wish playback and searching wasn't awful....
Went ahead and got the $325 tier of it. Want a full set of Stormlight leatherbounds....
Got the game installed and ready to go, but wasn't able to play any last night. I'm hoping to get some good time in this weekend. :nana:...
Went straight to the wishlist!...
I disagree here, as this is Sony having zero innovation for the future of gaming
That has absolutely zero to do with layoffs. They're closing a non-productive studio and like every single other big tech company, they're laying off after over hiring in the post-COVID hiring boom that ...
I just can’t get past the cringe factor of the high school slice of life stuff.
Yeah, if you're not get past it, then these probably aren't for you. Did you try the remaster of Shin Megami Tensei 3 they did a few years back? It's on PS4 and Switch I think....

re: Everyone is playing Palworld

Posted by oauron on 1/21/24 at 8:52 am
I was apprehensive about it, because I didn't like Craftopia (which is what this was compared to by friends). I've had a very good time with it though. Me and friend went through a full dungeon and the pal traits give good reason to catch more of them....
I've read a couple of the "romantasy" books, and this was definitely the best one that I tried. It's a bit of backhanded compliment because very few have been good at all. Second book was a definitely step down, but I'll probably read the third book anyways. ...
I went and looked to see if I could get it, but not available for me. I've had PSN+ since it was offered on PS3, and let it lapse for the first time in December....
MLS didn’t think the production of the games (especially when lower leagues hosted them) was up to par… they’d been hinting at this.
And? I don't see EPL teams backing out of the FA cup when they play a non-league side with a stadium of 5,000....

re: PS5 Dualsense stick drift

I guess I've been lucky. I have two DualSense controllers and both haven't had any issues yet....
im halfway through the blade itself and hooked. i find it interesting though they started film adaptation with Best served cold(which iIhavent read yet) rather than the trilogy?
Best Served Cold is a pretty self-contained story and they easily tell it in a single movie. If they had...

Added it to the wishlist. Looks pretty solid....
Looks like Brandon is making serious headway with Stormlight 5. 75% done as of this morning, which means he is definitely on pace for a 2024 release.
We'll have to see. If he finishes this year, then I'll definitely agree with you. His edit and revision process for a stormlight boo...

re: The Dunham QB
if you really think Dunham is comparable to those 3 schools then I don’t know what to tell you
The funniest thing about how these schools are talked about as if there actually is this huge difference in quality of education. They're all on the same level....

re: Divinity Original Sin 2

Posted by oauron on 9/12/23 at 10:36 am
The story and characters get more interesting, but the gameplay doesn't change much outside of new abilities and strategies in combat....

re: getting my kids acclimated to PS5

Posted by oauron on 9/11/23 at 10:55 pm
I would recommend Astrobot and Sonic Mania. I've also done the higher tiers of PS+ and my 6 year old really loves playing LocoRoco. We've tried some other games, but they were honestly a bit too hard for them....
Not OP but just started The Blade Itself and liking it. Glotka is hilarious in his own right.
I jumped back into Abercrombie recently. Finished Best Served Cold earlier this month. Was a pretty good time. Started The Free Bastards by Jonathan French shortly after....
