Memphis isn't getting in over a p5 unless they have 2 losses, and nobody seems to be thinking about the possibility of FL losing to FSU and winning the SEC cc game. In that instance the SEC would surely be left out.

Keep telling yourself that. An undefeated Memphis with 3 quality wins would have a shot at the 4th spot.

I agree Memphis would get in over a 2 loss champ.

Only a 2 loss champ though. A p5 champion with 1 loss is going over Memphis every time.

That's the rational LSU fan test. You made a 50. Better than a zero. I'm not giving up on you.

Ole Miss is out unless the other conferences really start wetting the bed.

It happens almost every year.

And just what in the hell is your logic ? Remember this idiot committee is supposed to only "consider" conference champions, that doesn't mean they "have to" supersede everything else, since when in the history of college football has a 2 loss team been ranked ahead of a one loss team in ANY POLL, especially when one plays a much tougher schedule OOC and in conference...Wisc. out and Tenn. vs Vandy in the crossover game every year.
It is funny as hell that you guys actually think the conference champion has to be ranked higher even with two losses, even though there is no rule stating that. The agreed upon considerations are that conference champions would be given extra consideratins, sorry, two loss teams do not trump one loss teams, especially with an inferrior stregth of schedule.
You guys have gone bonkers over the word "consideration" which should have never been a part of the process seeing as Notre Dame and others are not in conferences.
The 4 best teams under the old system is what should have happened, but the pussies in the Big Ten wanted welfare.
A two loss Ole Miss will not trump a one loss Bama.
That is idiotic.
A two loss team is better than a one loss team.

How long have you been around? You haven't learned yet that a Bama loss doesn't count? Damn man, go watch ESPN for 10 minutes and learn something.
Posted on 11/3/15 at 11:47 am to Tuskkman
And yet Ole Miss still beat Bama.

There is no way LSU gets a rematch had we lost in 2011. You're out of your mind.

No, they lost to Toledo or something like that...

If we win out, I don't see an SEC team in the final four. But I will say this, if we somehow won out and did it convincingly, an argument could be made that at full strength we are one of the best 4 teams in the nation. Memphis deserved to beat us, but with Tunsil, Conner, CJ Johnson, and Nkemdiche for more than 1 quarter, that is a completely different game.

The only thing that is idiotic is that you believe a 1-loss Bama team would get in over a 2-loss SEC champion OM team, whom they lost to.
You're a special kind of dumb.

So a team that beat a team in 1985 and had two losses would hae been named national champions over the one loss team they beat ? HELL NO, it is stupid.
Posted on 11/3/15 at 11:54 am to rebsfan10
I don't expect us to win out. But I do think there will be several 2 loss champions. The Pac 16, ACC, and possibly the Big 12 will all have 2 loss champs imo.

In this situation, LSU would be eliminated. So no complaints here.

Do they deserve to get in over Ole Miss ? That is the damn question. I was never n favor of a stupid committee to start with. The old system was far better.
Just the fact they you think the word consider conference champs means that a 2 loss team trumps a 1 loss team is idiotic.
No lets not take the best team, thats your stupid locgic.
College football has always been about taking the best teams, and if we have gtten to the point inferior teams are taken of better teams then we need to tear the fricken system dowN and start over !!
Two loss team over a one loss team with an inferior schedule.
LMAO...STUIPD
And if LSU beats Bama but loses to Ole Miss I say the same thing.
TWO LOSS TEAM DO NOT TRUMP ONE LOSS TEAMS...ITS DUMB.
