Sylvester Croom 10-30
Brad Scott 13-26-1

Move that arbitrary "since 1990" to "since 1985" and I'll raise you one Watson Brown who had a 4-29 record in the SEC over his 5 seasons (10-45 overall), including three different 1-10 campaigns!

Mike Price never coached a down. I would say Dumbose was a worse hire.

John L. Smith was never intended to be the HC -- he was hired on an interim basis (like I think Coach O is going to end up).

Ron Zook wasn't as bad as people think either. Dude recruited like nobody's bidness. He just couldn't win big games at home (but could win them on the road).

John L. Smith should have an asterisk, since he was technically an interim. Still an absolute horror show of a hire, though.

This.

Zook sucked when compared to the HBC, but he wasn't terrible in his 3 years there. Never had a losing (or .500) record, finished ranked all 3 seasons, and was a phenomenal recruiter.

Urban Meyer won a NC with Zook's players in year 2. That goes for something.

I didn't like the Price hire either, but no one else was jumping on the ncaa probation grenade. So, that hire should be kept in context.

Given the fact that he was busted with a stripper and never coached a game, we can pass judgement on his morals and potential to lead young men; however, plenty of successful coaches are shite people.

Who knows, he may have done well at Bama.

13-26-1 for Brad Scott is actually better than I thought.

I think we could be on that list three times with Shula, Dubose and Price. Price has to be the all time worst coaching hire in the history of football. Dude did;t last 6 weeks.

Orgeron was bad too, I agree.

Lets give the man one full offseason/season before we consider adding to this list...

Agreed. I believe he is the one coach who could have taken a probation riddled team and got 9 wins out of. He took WASHINGTON STATE to the Rose Bowl.
That spring game with him as coach. I never saw a Bama offense as effective and running and passing as that one until AJ and Trent were there.

Because his record as LSU's permanent coach is 0-0. Stop trying so hard to be friendly with these arse clowns on here.

John L wasn't necessarily hired.

Price never made it to fall camp.

O was fired at Ole Piss.

Butch Jones sucks weiners. massive weiners. like black ones. and he likes to do so. loves it.

Replace Price with Dubose.

Dubose won the SEC in 99. That immediately disqualifies him. He did however stick his pen in the company ink which was a really stupid move. Oh, and throwing a screen pass to Ed Scissom was a really stupid move too.
