In hindsight, Zook set up that roster REALLY nicely with his recruiting for whoever followed him.

Denardo (SP?)

DiNardo wasn't nearly as bad as Hallman. DiNardo never won fewer than four games at Vandy, which was like winning nine somewhere else. And he had three winning seasons in five years at LSU.

To be fair to DiNardo. His first 3 years were pretty good. I believe he won 10 games his second year in BR. Actually his 1998 team was not that bad. He had a very good offense, but he had a Lou Tepper defense

Are we talking Bill Curry as Alabama coach? He was 26-10 in three years there before he was unceremoniously dumped after a 10-2 season or Bill Curry as Kentucky's coach who was not all that good.

13-26-1 for Brad Scott is actually better than I thought.

4 wins vs Vandy, 3 each vs Kentucky & Arkansas, 1 each vs Georgia, LSU & MSU.

he somehow managed to squander a QB, RB & WR who each spent 10, 10 & 9 years playing in the NFL.

the only thing acceptable I'll acknowledge about the fatass is he shut out Danny in 1995 at W-B. I think that game had more to do with the fans inside the stadium that day than his acumen on the sidelines, however.

Who knows, he may have done well at Bama.

You probably would have won a national championship or two. He was pretty damned innovative on the offensive end. I will bet that he was not the first Bama...or for that matter SEC coach who was having fun with women other than his wife...Bear was known for liking the women. He got caught and like a dumbass was using the Alabama credit card.

Because of what happened with him, I tend to give Mike Shula something of a pass. No one wanted the job given what was coming at Bama at the time.

I will say this, if Price does not get busted, Nick Saban is coaching somewhere possibly out west today.

It only seems like yesterday when Croom and Orgeron were battling it out in the Egg bowl for a 4 win season.

Now Hugh Freeze and Dan Mullen are battling it out in the Egg bowl for a 5 win season!! Although they did get 38 wins combined in 2014 and 2015, but that doesn't count either because 19 of those will be vacated in the next few months.
