Since Mike Price never coached a game, and was previously very successful at Washington State before he got to Bama, I'm not sure why he's included. Did you mean Mike Shula?

Johnelle #1. He inherited a team with @15 NFL players on the 2 deep, most of whom were starters.

No one remembers him, but Woody Widehofer.

His record was 15-40, and I believe he holds the notorious distinction of being the only coach to go 4+ years in the SEC without a bowl game.

Dooley was not the worst, by any definition.

Shaun Alexander won an SEC championship. DuBose didn't do anything but get Bama more sanctions than they already had

That's a gaffe on my part, I edited the title to coaching hires.

Zook isn't anywhere near the top (bottom) 5 worst coaches list.

As a Florida fan, I agree. He was a great guy, great recruiter, just didn't win enough games following Steve Spurrier at Florida.

Curley Hallman is one of the worst coaches in SEC History, much less since 1990.

No list works without him on it...PERIOD

Then he went 3-8 and the whole Albert Means fiasco was on his watch.

Seriously don't know how Joker got left out, well other than Kentucky not having much to lose with a bad hire but Rich Brooks actually had Kentucky bowling 4 years in a row to end his tenure.

Put me in the camp that thinks Mike DuBose has to be on the list. Bama got put on what was probably the worse NCAA sanctions in our history under his watch. Not to mention the fact that he was hired based on a dumbass fax campaign.

Dooley was the absolute worst.

I can't even begin to describe the feeling of hopelessness regarding UT football during those years.
