Those pictures really help develop an appreciation for what MSU has built...I had no idea it was that nice.

Impressive ball park!

No, will be finished in likely two years and we have the benefit of batting last in the SEC stadium race. There is a reason the new one planned is unparalleled in college and it will be for some time.

Doubtful. There is no such thing as batting last. Arkansas has been adding on to Baum for over a decade now and will continue to do so regardless of what other schools build. That doesn't even take in to account what LSU and USC will continue to do either.

that they have now made the metal bats weaker than wood bats.

That's not really my point. The "ping" of metal bats makes me think of little-league ball. Anyone over 18 with a penis should not be using a metal bat.

I thought we dropped Missouri from the conference?

Havent heard much noise from their hoops team lately. Usually that is their hallmark

USC
Lsu

The rest

Its Box, Baum, Carolina/Ole Miss, MSU, aTm, Auburn. Then everybody else. Bama is coming and that will be everybody in the west and USC in the top 8.

MSU will make everyone else ramp up more improvements pretty quick though. Lets see who keeps up.

TWildcat, they are breaking ground this fall on the baseball park for UK. It will be next to the softball and soccer facilities. Neighbor is assistant turf guy for athletics.

Exactly, SC built it's stadium in 2009 and we haven't had any major upgrades since then. We're due for upgrades, but we'll probably wait around to see what everybody else does first.

Either way, Carolina Stadium is still pretty top notch. 6 years later.

Schools like USC, LSU and Arky already put loads of money into their baseball programs. They'll be more than willing to do whatever is necessary to keep up with and surpass MSU.

My rankings:

Atmosphere
1. MSU
2. LSU
3. USC
4. Arky
5. Ole Miss

Actual Stadium niceness
1. USC
2. LSU
3. Arky
4. Auburn/A&M
5. Ole Miss
*top three are interchangeable in my opinion

Vandy, not a great Venue or location ... the whole downtown thing doesn't have a SEC feel especially with the big parking garage right there beside it ... but their fans are finally getting into it although they'll never compete for attendance records and that has much to do with atmosphere, if we really want to talk atmosphere.

Perhaps. Different strokes and all. I am very pleased with the recent addition though...

Good. Because right now Cliff is a pimple on the arse of the SEC. They've fielded some quality teams and deserve a quality ballpark.

Yeah Cliff Hagan looks terrible. Any diagrams or photos released yet of what the new stadium is supposed to look like?

Very good news. Any idea when they'll make a public announcement with some plans? Would think it would have to be pretty soon if they're starting in the fall.

Between that, the football facility construction, and football games, alumni drive area is gonna be a mess this fall. Good problem to have though.

Lot of people ranking Carolina #1. Don't see that at all personally, although it is nice.

I've only been to LSU and Omaha, but from what I can tell, no one comes close to the amenities arkansas has for their stadium

Ole Miss has the coolest student section, maybe the best atmosphere

The new Box is nice and has a good atmosphere, but I remember super regionals at the old Alex Box for so much rowdier
