Busy busy week for me. I don't have time to be offended this week.

I can see someone going in above state. However , if we go in at #4 this week I can see us staying there. Tomorrow night tells everything.

Of course it does, but then I wasn't the one who started this thread asking a silly question.

No, because in 2011 after a loss all Bama had to do to get to the title game was beat an FCS team and a bad Auburn team. State will have to beat a top 10 team in OM and win a semi-final game to get to the title game. It is also not similar because we are talking about the #4 spot not the #2 spot.

But I am sick of MSU posters acting as if Saturday was a close game. Alabama, as it has since Saban arrived, went conservative once they had a lead on a good team.

Why is it so hard to admit?

Close game

I will either say it was close or I'll say the following.

"Saban called his guys off MSU in the game that put him in the top 4 or denied him the top 4 ranking."

Boy that sounds stupid. I think I will stay with the less stupid comment and say it was a close game, won by the better team.

Yep, I love the way he went conservative against aTm when he got a lead. Look guy, 19-3 is only two scores.

That was the biggest lead Bama ever had.
Bama fans' problem is that they all thought that State would have to play a perfect game to keep it close. State played a horrible game and kept it close and that bugs you. If Prescott plays even respectable then you lose. State turned it over 3 times on your end and that was the game.

Not at all, I think MSU still deserves a top 4 spot.

Bama deserves #1

Oregon and FSU will be 2 and 3

TCU will drop out of top 4, but should stay in 5 or 6 range.

I think most Ole Miss fans want them to be ranked as high as possible when they show up for the Egg Bowl. We need another win against a top five team.

Tomorrow night's rankings mean nothing, just like the past 3 weeks. The only one that matters is when the few conferences that have championship games are played. We have no idea what the committee is going to do when they factor in the extra game that some teams play. Do they punish TCU and Baylor for not having one? Do they give tOSU a boost of they win theirs? Honestly, until we get to that weekend, it just doesn't matter where anybody is.

Is it possible that Bama's defense had something to do with how Prescott played?

You sure that you're pre-med?....or does that narrow-minded approach only raise it's ugly head during college football discussions?

Bigger question; if Bama is #1 tomorrow night, will Danny Kannel's head explode live on camera?

Considering we will finish 11-1 with only loss being close one to Bama's we will be Top 4

You should be but you won't unless Bama loses again.

A major part of creating this whole playoff committee as opposed to just using the effective and neutral old BCS system was to ensure 1/9 never happened again.

They won't put two teams from the same conference in unless there's absolutely no alternative.

Of course not. Duh. Don't you know the rules?

I particularly love how they bring up the three picks, but ignore a possession where Bama had the ball 1st and 10 at the State 19 and got no points - or that they scored the last TD on a 4th down play against a Bama prevent defense with a whopping :15 seconds left in the game.

Yes, it could have been closer and state could have won. It could have also very easily had been 29-13 or even 33-13 Bama.
