This is only the second time SEC defenses have seen a Gus Malzahn offense?

If you have followed Gus's career, you would see that he has not run the same Offense two years in a row. That will be the case this year, with more weapons at WR and more comfort by Marshall. I think AU Offense will be harder to stop this year.

Auburn will still get their yards and win games, but I think they lost the two main cogs in their offense, and while the guys stepping in are talented, Mason and Robinson were on another level.

Funny how no one said this before the season.

RB is plug and play under Malzahn.

Robinson will be hard to replace, but we have two battling it out for that spot.

Also the D will take a big step forward year 2 under Ellis.

I agree, Auburn just needs average running back play to be successful with this style. You need a great offensive line and they have that too. Auburn's offense won't miss a beat this year IMO.

Their D will be better than last year. Add that to a better Offense and that is why all these type posts a getting started.

I think Auburn's offense will be better next year but not the defense. Your only all-SEC players are both gone.

I think the D will be more consistent. Our D wasn't horrible, it's just we were killed by players missing assignment's and allowing big plays. With a full year in the scheme, I think the D will be improved.

Upgrade at LBs and Safeties. If they can get any type of pass rush, they will be in the top half of the SEC Ds. AU played a lot of underclassman on D last year, those growing pains will start paying dividends this year.

Auburn ran a very odd offense last year. Defense were shell-shocked but they will be better prepaid this year.

Auburn's defense was 12th in the league and 86th in the country. You can sugarcoat that if you want but let's be real.

With the loss of Ford and Davis, I don't see how your defense is supposed to be better this year. That's not a knock on Auburn, just the reality of the situation. Regardless, I think your offense will be better so it won't matter that much anyway.

Auburn had good players. I think as long as they have good players and competent coaching, just like anybody else with those same ingredients, they will be hard to stop.

Ellis Johnson's D is dependent on good LB play. He had to start Holland due to the youth at that position. This year will be a major upgrade at that position and corners will have major support at Safety. This will be the most improved unit in the SEC.

Probably not. Auburn was one dimensional last year and teams have a very difficult time shutting down their offense. This year they return a starting QB for the first time since Brandon Cox and add NFL talent at the Wr position. I expect Auburn to have a more balance offense this year and be even more unpredictable
