I edited my post as you were posting this. Yes, Foster was our second choice, and we could have hired him and almost did.

Muschamp sowed a lot of discord as DC at Texas.

Head Coach in waiting...and waiting...and waiting. No such problem at Auburn. Now, he may not be around long, but let's not pretend that his situation is like Texas or UF. He had no such problems at AU, LSU or Texas for that matter before he became HCIW.

Will Muschamp was and is considered the best DC in College Football. The problem he had with his career is that he was hired as a HC, when the trend was toward Offensive Minded Coaches. If Mack Brown would have retired as expected, TX would be dominating the state and Will would be considered a top 10 HC.

As an T&M Fan, I would be more concerned that Sumlin fails this year and gets fired. It would take A&M 5+ years to catch up to TCU, Baylor and TX. This is a very critical year in the state of Texas.

This is a fairy tale made up my Florida fans

He wanted to be HCIW, but the AD and Brown realized that he was poison. He left after being told that he would NEVER be HCIW

I was sure Kiffin would be the doom of Bama.

Lord Saban is there to keep Kiffin's douchebaggery in-check. Without Saban holding the reins, Kiffin goes full retard and burns another program to the ground.

He absolutely was HCIW...the NCAA even made a rule about it as a result. Did they no longer see eye to eye after waiting for years and decide to part ways? Maybe...but anyone that paid any attention to Texas knew that Mack Brown stayed at least 3 years too long.

What's your problem anyway? TAMU got a great DC as well. You worried that Chavis is going to sue yall too?

Here's a riddle: Who was the defensive coordinator last time Auburn led the SEC in a scoring defense and had a top ten D in four categories (ranking 7th nationally in pass efficiency, and 6th nationally in total defense, passing defense, and scoring defense). Go ahead, I'll wait.

This is his 3rd time around coaching at Auburn. He didn't destroy our program before, doubt he does it this time.

I just see this freight train coming

We're on the Auburn plane and just saw the pilots bail out

I know it hurts but it is what it is.
