3 to 5 losses are very different in scope. 3 losses means 10 wins - unless that's against a very easy schedule or involves blow outs in all 3 to your rivals, then no coach in the US should be on the hot seat after a single 10 win season (and very few that ever WOULD with one)

5 losses means 8 wins, so a bit more so. The only thing is that AU's expectations are kind of in flux, so if fans are expecting an SECCG appearance then sure, he might be. I doubt it would be "hot" after this season (barring a complete and utter collapse of 2012 proportions).

Curry was coming off his third season and a trip to the Sugar Bowl. He wasn't "run out of TTown."

Tubs was fired dude. Don't know why you'd argue he wasn't.

Also, is the OP seriously asking if Gus would be on the hot seat after a 10 win season? That's the dumbest shite I've ever heard.

You fired a coach a couple seasons after winning a national title. So it isn't so far fetched.

Three in a row and out Gus goes.

I'll make this easy. The answer is no.

There is no way 3 loses would put him on a hot seat. Five loses that were like the loses in 2011 might, but I expect Gus to be around for several years.

You seriously think we'd fire a coach that goes 12-2, 8-5, 10-3 in his three years here?

No you don't.

There isn't another school in the country that wouldn't have done the exact same thing in the exact same situation. It wasn't even the record. He lost the team, the boosters, the fans and eventually his main man who represented the administration.

3 or maybe 4 wouldn't create much of a stir. 5 would create a problem I imagine

Can you image how the bammers will act if Gus beats Saban this year? Saban would tell them to frick off and then head for the lake, they then would be stuck with Kirby Smart or Dabo. This season is critical for Bama more than AU.

Why would a ten win season put any coach on the hot seat? Even if Bama continues its success, they (AU) wouldn't be that stupid to warn or fire a HC. Prime example: Oklahoma State. Sustained at least 9 wins every year, yet lost to Oklahoma. The talk of beating Oklahoma increased, but they wouldn't fire a guy who's fielded a respectable team every year.

3... No

5.... Semi hot and ready.

Although imo AU will have a a 10 win season with a shot.

Not too worried about beating bama this year.

I think they have beaten one ranked team in AU in the entire history of the iron bowl. If the teams are anywhere close in how good they are, we pretty much don't lose to them at home.

That would be the Kick Six. We sorta won that one in case you forgot.

Actually, I do not believe bama has ever beaten a team that finished the season ranked in Auburn. I believe the best they have ever done is their undefeated 2009 NC team that had to come from behind in the final minute to beat an AU team that finished with 5 losses and outside the top 25. Think that is the best team they have ever beaten in AU.

Bama gets nervous when they enter the Hare.

Thanks for the backup.

I corrected it. Bama has never beaten an AU team in AU that finished the season ranked in their entire history.
