Same logic doesn't seem to apply when sports analysts predict Bama's seasons, sort of like Notre Dame and Michigan.

No need to get pissy, peewee.

ran up and down the field on them while the Bama defense couldn't get a stop

Are you suggesting that the O's inability to run the ball down the opposition's throat when needed or to protect the passer effectively when needed didn't directly contribute to the last two losses?

yes

Damn son, you might want to call Saban with that intel and be sure he brings Nuss back. I'm sure he wouldn't have nudged him out the door if the offense was what Saban thought it would be

Nuss was equally bad the previous year when Bama won the Nat'l Title.

The offense was good despite of Nuss not because of him, remember a guy named Chizik?

Why so much preseason love for Bama?

2008 - 6
2009 - 1
2010 - 10
2011 - 1
2012 - 1
2013 - 7

Bama is just an incredibly safe pick to be in the mix, which is basically all the pre-season predictions are saying.

Even in the "down" years they are in the top 10 right now.

They do have a huge question mark with the new QB, but they have had that twice in the above years as well and won it all both times (2009 and 2011).

I don't see a lot of (any?) people picking them as the champs (FSU is getting most of that love), but a lot of people are saying they are a strong contender for the playoff.

If there was a 4 team playoff since 2008, Alabama would have had a strong chance to be in said playoff in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and even 2013. I.e., 5 out of the 6 years. They might not have been picked in 2008 and 2013, but you are probably talking a first team out type scenario even in those years.

That kind of consistency hasn't just happened by luck and it isn't likely to just go away all of the sudden given the fact that Alabama has continued to recruit at a high level. In fact the recruiting has probably gotten even stronger the last couple of years.

All that to say is that it makes perfect sense that prognosticators are listing Alabama has one of the teams most likely to make the 4 team playoff.

If Coker sucks, they will be wrong.

As a Georgia Bulldog fan I find it hard to give another team shite about preseason projections.

Someone that saw him at Ken's Tavern one night is not a significant connection.

Sorry bro.

Also, with that sig I wouldn't talk to anyone about "rustled jimmies."
