I'm sure if you cherry pick that prediction and rehash it every year, it will eventually sync up.

It is also not just new OC and DC but both are bringing in a new system that does not have a team that was recruited to run it.

I don't get it with some of the teams ranked above them..

I'll agree with you here.....but I honestly don't think Frazier can handle the SEC. Auburn's team might be ready to have a really good season but I have a feeling Frazier is gonna crash and burn. Just my gut feeling.

Question mark at qb. Questions at rb. questions at OC. Nobody is gonna be surprised if Auburn is good, but nobody knows what to think yet, except that they will get torched in the second game.

Second (third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc. etc.) verse, same as the first.

A handcuffed freshman campaign behind a terrible OL told you this?

Loeffler is fitting his offense to be similar to Malzahn's so that the transition is easier. Besides, we did not recruit players to fit a specific system.

Maybe, but you get the point. I suspect you won't admit the point. But I think you get it.

I think this will hurt him in this up coming season. I didn't mean to say he won't eventually be good......my mistake. I just don't know if he's ready yet.

In the best way possible, yes...

I still remember when everyone was claiming Auburn would finish 8-5.

I remember, almost like it was yesterday, the usual suspects proclaiming our upcoming 4 or 5 wins season in 2009 and 2011.

Chiz and Malzahn have made a lot of great decisions, but the way they used the young offensive players last year (mainly Frazier) is mind boggling and will likely hurt us this year. Delayed the rebuilding/maturing timeline by half a season at least.

Good choice and it should help.

That is an issue that creates concerns of its own. Recruiting specific types to fit the system maximizes their effect on the final product and can be the 2 or 3 point difference between a close loss and a close win.

I love Auburn as much as any other Aubie on here, but I don;t see any reason that we should be ranked pre-season. Way too many unknowns.

From an outsider's perspective:

-They lost their top offensive player (Dyer)
-Got blown out when they faced a ranked opponent.
-Lost Malzahn.
-Chizik isn't seen as a top-tier head coach
-Unknown at QB.

I wouldn't put too much stock in him struggling last year as any indication that he will crash and burn this year. Frazier was a true freshman that didn't go through spring practices after playing against the Arkansas version of Alabama 3A football. It was too big of an adjustment to expect him to come in and be anything other than a wildcat qb last year.

And Auburn keeps proving people wrong when they count us out. I'm not saying we'll win the west, but we'll be much better than we were last year, especially on defense. I can see a top 25 finish for us.

I think Frazier will actually do pretty welly next year. It was already said, by all accounts, he looked night and day in spring from where he was last year.
