Worst disaster at A&M was the Humpit cheer and they had ran out of KY. Talk about a bunch of red assed Aggies

So yeah, our offseason sucked but I feel better about our team going into this season than A&M's.

Long knows his future at Arkansas will be directly tied to his head coaching hire. I just can't see him hitching his livelihood to Art friggen Briles.

I don't really have anything to support that, I just see his stock rising. I think Arkansas is going to grab him and rationalize it as look what he did and he is an existing head coach. He can do more here, kind of thing.

The Aggie/Tiger series is fairly close. Both schools recruit the same area. The Aggies have beaten LSU for La.recruits that LSU really wanted such as Johnny Hector,Billy Cannon Jr.,Bucky Richardson,Jerry Fontenot and John David Crow.
To make things worse,Louisiana is overrun with Aggies!

Why don't you like Sumlin? The jury is still out till he does something in conference obviously... but you guys would kill all the chickens in Arkansas to get a guy who could actually recruit

Well yeah. He was Sumlin before Sumlin was Sumlin. Got a hot season at Houston, booked it to Waco.

and sure he can recruit, but recruiting A&M is a hell of a lot easier than recruiting Arkansas because of proximity alone. Besides, BP proved you don't have to be an elite recruiter to have success at Arkansas. We need to find the best coach (play-caller, leader, player developer) we can, hopefully surround him with capable assistants that can recruit.
