I guess about the same reason why Florida's classes didn't pan out for most of the last decade:

2010: #1
2011: #11
2012: #4
2013: #3
2014: #9
2015: #21

Average Rank: 8.17

Record vs. Opponents that finished in the Top 25: 6-19

Yes, seriously.

AU's classes have been right on par with aTm's the last 3 years and they've won the SEC and played in the NC game recently.

y'all are missing the point. UF fans can tell you why they've had little success. HC changes, Muschamp trying to fit a square peg in a round hole on the offense, etc

OP is just asking why A&M has had little success since he likely doesn't keep up with the ins and outs of the aggy program.

Might want to update that list, plus correct it because there were only 31 players signed (Gustafson counted towards the 2014 class) but the 2013 class has been a flameout no matter how you slice it:

Finished eligibility

TE - Cameron Clear
LB - Tommy Sanders

Starting or in 2-deep

HB - James White (backup tailback)
WR - Ricky Seals-Jones (starting H)
WR - Jeremy Tabuyo (backup slot)
OL - Jeremiah Stuckey (off and on starter at LG)
LB - Shaan Washington (starting WILL)
DB - Noel Ellis (backup nickel)

Buried on the depth chart

DL - Reggie Chevis
DL - Justin Manning
DB - Alex Sezer (special teams)

Playing Professional Baseball

QB - Kohl Stewart

Transferred

QB - Kenny Hill (TCU)
WR - Laquivionte Gonzalez (Kansas)
WR - Sebastian Larue (Washington State)
WR - Kyrion Parker (TBD)
WR - JaQuay Williams-Savage (Louisville)
OL - Ishmael Wilson (Baylor)
DB - Tavares Garner (Tarleton)

Medically Retired

FB - Brett Wade (Concussions)
OL - Joas Aguilar (Back)
DL - Jay Arnold (Shoulder)
LB - Jordan Mastrogiovanni (Neck)
DB - Jonathan Wiggins (Knee)

Legal/Character Issues

DL - Isaiah Golden (Armed Robbery)
DL - Jordan Points (Theft)
LB - Darion Claiborne (Armed Robbery)
DB - Kameron Miles (Stole from teammates, now at Boise State)

A&M is 33-13 since joining the SEC. In that time, Auburn has gone 27-19 and 1-2 against A&M.

Auburn has a SEC title and NC game appearance.

aTm has a 3rd place finish in the West.

I remember seeing Auburn play in the SEC Championship Game twice this decade. My memory does not seem to recollect the Aggies ever playing in that game...

Would you trade your record over the last 10 yeas for Auburn's and do you think there is any reason people are less likely to criticize Auburn's success than A&Ms?

But they're still only 1-2 against A&M. Auburn hasn't been any more of a problem for us than State.

The TAMU "since realignment" shite is tired. Just stop. AU has had some damn good teams recently. No one gives a shite about your arbitrary timeline.

This thread is about A&M's success relative to the last three recruiting classes. I'm not sure it's relevant to go back to when all of those recruits were still playing in high school.

I'm sure AU fans are heartbroken about that 1-2 record.

Au was in the NC in 2013. The same year they beat TAMU. I think it's fair to say they were in your way that year.

Have they been a burden on TAMU like LSU? Clearly not

This thread has me wondering: Why are coonasses so insecure about A&M? We haven't beaten y'all since joining the SEC. Why so sensitive?

Exactly.

You can't honestly say you'd rather aTm be 2-1 vs. any team with zero titles over being 1-2, or even 0-3, vs. any team but have a conference title.

Something you Aggies need to learn is that as long as this game is played, Auburn is going to look like garbage every few years, and then they are going to look like world-beaters every few years.

It's a constant cycle. In between the peaks and valleys will be 8-4 seasons.

And when it all averages out, they'll be your toughest competition for #3 in the West behind Bama and LSU.
