He didn't commit because they played at Georgia Tech together. Losing Roof wouldn't do anything, Pike has a better relationship with Gus and Troop

I , like you, think Chizik is a good coach. Took over after Tubbs and immediately had you winning games his first year till the tough stretch beginning with Kentucky, etc. On the defense, he definitely needs to keep getting more involved and the defense should turn around. He probably sees the handwriting on the wall and like Miles did with Malleveto (Mallory and Dale Peveto) co-defensive coordinator fiasco : he probably will make a change at the end of the season, if the defense doesnt improve.

Roof fricking sucks. The talent is there. He insists on playing cover 2 zones when either he sucks @ teaching it, or our players just suck @ reacting. Observing from the stands our db's were more than capable of sticking the USU receivers across the board. When we went man-man in the 2nd half they werent beat very often. There were like 3 times in man-man where the receiver ran a perfect slant off a bump and the qb made a perfectly timed pass. The next play we were back in the Tampa 2. Usually, i concede to the coaches knowledge because theyve been around more football than i can imagine. frick that. Roof needs to go. I dont even care what that does with recruiting.
