it's not bama's fault the rest of college football rolled over and died to the likes of Iowa state fighting cyclones. it does annoy the hell out of me that losing the biggest game in recent history, at home, has all but been forgotten. that is an injustice. that loss should have to sting for no less than a year. with the way everything has gone in bama's favor for a rematch thus far, i have no faith in OK state to even win next weekend.

bama second best team? probably. deserve a re-match? absolutely not. rest of college football really leaving us no other option? pretty much.

I only counted 4 for OSU, which would make this not a fact imho

They are saying if OSU beats OU.

I think a lot of people who vote are blinded by the fact that Alabama has had 4 10 win seasons in a row and this weighs into the argument. That, and the BCS has been won by SEC teams for the past 5 years. Fools!

We can read. Bama's schedule frigging sucked... You may back door sneak into the NCG but you have to admit the schedule was garbage. You played 3 teams with a winning record and won. Gimme a break.

LSU is not under scrutiny here. We are undefeated.

LSU and Bama have nearly identical schedules. If our schedule is "weak", so is yours.

Jesus, when will the stupidity end? I'm almost looking forward to the offseaso

Are you kidding? LSU played 3, 25, 16, 17, 20, and 3 (with most of those away from home)

Bama played 23, 14, 12, and 24

LSU fans are just putting up so much fight after their team backed into both the 2003 and 2007 National Championships, which, I might add, garnered the fewest votes for a #1 team in the modern era.

Alabama fans are just a little surprised that LSU fans don't show more love for teams that have been catapulted to the BCSCG through the back door.

Enough teams to be ranked #2 in the BCS.

Apples to Oranges... Bama fans conveniently forget (Don't blame them) LSU won the SEC both years. Bama has nothing but a win against Penn St and R Kansas (who really sucks)

And the #2 ranking in the BCS, which unlike winning the SEC, is the only thing that you need to get to the BCSCG.

R Kansas sucks.. Like Bama are ranked way higher than they should be. They beat no ranked teams. Not one! Schedule was horrible and nearly lost to Vandy. Don't hang your hat on R Kansas.

I'm not hanging my hat on Arkansas. I was making a point that using final BCS rankings of each team's opponent to determine if one team is better than the other is pointless. Players get injured, coaches get fired for crazy reasons, and things happen.

Some people use that logic suggesting that teams get better as the season progress. Well that doesn't explain why a so called #2 team in the country lost to Iowa State late in the season.

Which lost can you easily explain. #2 Alabama losing in OT by 3 against #1 LSU or #2 Ok State losing in OT to unranked Iowa State. Don't kid yourself. You know very well you can explain the former a hell of alot better than you can explain the latter.

It was an away game with a fired up team. The school had an airplane tragedy 3 days earlier. Not making excuses... But that was the situation.

Bama had game day and a home stadium with everyone except Corso picking them. What happened to Bama?

weird how people excuse OSU's loss because of this tragedy, but ignore the tornado that destroyed much of tuscaloosa this year

just admit you don't want Bama in the game, because it has nothing to do with merit or team talent when you start making excuses like that

No one gave LSU a pass after Katrina.. I feel your pain... The question was asked on how Okie St let Iowa St beat them. I never heard Okie St say it But I thought the emotions of that crash three days before the game may have had a factor.

Tuscaloosa still emotionally disturbed 6 months after the tornado? That is terrible news!

Bama has two wins over ranked opponents (one I think shouldn't be ranked at all- R Kansas)

OSU (if??) they beat OU will have more quality (many more) wins and a conference championship. Is that what you are referring to as "Merit"?
