Arkansas and Penn St.. I will answer for them.

FYI.. I though R Kansas was not very good. That win is not impressive. The got lucky against Vandy. R Kansas had a cupcake schedule.

Bama also had a chance to end this. And they didn't.

Which is why it baffles me as to how they "deserve" to play this game.

Yes we did, but that would have put LSU in the same position we are in right now wouldn't it.

We could go on for days with this crap. Bottom line is Alabama has a shot to play for the national title. I do not have a vote and neither does anyone on these boards. So asking me or any other Alabama fan is pointless. I really do not care how we get to the national title game. I just hope we get there and win it.

And this is why we need a playoff. Because this "on paper" stuff is bull shite.

In 2009 Bama would have welcomed a playoff system?

The overall point is the biggest pro Bama has pointing to it is the "eye test." They look like the #2 team in the country.

OSU can point to teams they beat and extenuating circumstances as to why they lost a double OT game on the road to an average opponent. Also, a possible conference championship.

Who you vote #2 depends on how you view what the title game should be. Should it be who you think is best? Or should it be who's earned the opportunity.

It would. And I wouldn't change my stance. It would be incredibly unfair for Bama to have to beat us twice to win a title while we just needed to go 1-1 against them to get the same result. Some reward for Bama going undefeated isn't it?

Most of us Tiger fans.. Including me.. Love to hear Bama fans make arguments about why they deserve to play in the NCG. We don't care who we play. Most of us are just pulling your chains, playing on your insecurities and reminding you of 9-6 and no SEC. I haven't had this much fun in years with you guys.

I haven't read through the garbage that I'm positive is in this thread, the same garbage that I've read 15 times in the past few weeks. But I'm going to say it AGAIN...if you have watched any college football this year, and if you know shite from shinola, and if you're not a complete fricking retarded idiot, then you obviously know that LSU and Bama are the best two teams in the country...BAR NONE. They will play for it all in NOLA and that's how it's gonna be, don't be a redundant fricking idiot ok, thx

THANK YOU.
And a thank you to the Bama fan who finally posted the wins.
IF oklahoma state wins they will have more wins over voter determined top 25 teams and both of bama's quality wins will have gotten blown out in their respective season ending games. Bama is currently just sitting on a hype machine. They are in no way any more proven to be number two than Michigan in 2006.

I would rather play bama. Im sick of the gumps and want to shut them up. I think our team is better than when we played bama before. However if you look at the resumes and what each team has done to earn it Bama doesnt really stand out.

I dont think anyone has denied that bama looks the part. I just simply presented a question of who have you beaten to deserve that ranking and no one could answer for four pages. It would seem a simple enough question

I never said it was fair to LSU. I do not think it's fair to LSU at all. They went on the road and took care of business like they should.

The debate in question is in regards to Alabama vs OK State. Alabama cannot do anything about the fact that Ok State, Oklahoma, and Oregon could not take care of business.

Please remember we would not be having this discussion had those teams played like a #2 team should play when going against a team they were favored against.

And what we're all saying is you are no different than those teams. They didn't take care of business and neither did you. So we have to compare you all evenly and objectively and most here want to know why Bama is entitled to this game since there seems to be other teams that could be just as worthy if not more.

I don't agree with the OP at all but.
quote:

LSU and Bama have nearly identical schedules. If our schedule is "weak", so is yours.
this is full retard. LSU has beaten 4 BCS ranked teams, including 3 in the top 10 (also should be 5 after we beat UGA) and Bama has beaten 2, 1 of them being ranked 21st. LSU's schedule was easily twice as hard as Bama's and anyone with a football IQ will confirm this.
