Eh middle of the pack. Good but not great. Let some pretty shitty teams score a good bit of points on them.

It's a pretty big part

No bigger part than punter or returners. Plus a portion of a kickers job is kickoffs, which Parkey is clearly better than Hocker at

Touchbacks don't score points, and with AU's defense those touchbacks were rendered moot.

Linebacker

UGA has the best linebackers imo, followed by Bama and UF

They don't allow them either, do they? In fact, they keep the returning team from scoring.

Has nothing to do with special teams. Try again.

LSU has the best overall ST's in the SEC, possibly the country. From kickers to punter to return to coverage. Fact

Neither do punts and 99% kick & punt returns. They are still apart of special teams.

WTF does this have to do with special team play?

How many returners does LSU have returning that have KO return TDs? How many Ray Guy Finalists does LSU have returning? TIA

I have LSU at #2...

Steven Clark is better than Wing, and he proved as much by being a candidate for the Ray Guy award. Drew Alleman is better than Cody Parkey with accuracy, but Parkey has the bigger leg and is a huge part of our kick-off unit. We have the better return guys on kick return with Quan Bray, OMAC, and Tre Mason, whereas LSU has Honey Badger on punt return.

I give Auburn the edge.

LSU, Auburn, and Arkansas all have great special teams

I think i remember reading where hocker was top 5 in touchbacks and breeding top 5 in punt average last year...and dennis johnson is the SEC active kick return leader

If we still had joe adams i think that would put us over the top but all 3 are around the same IMO

No worse than 2010 Texas A&M. The team that caused LSU fans to propel Ware to the top 3 preseason RBs in the league last year.

Ole memphis had a raging hard on for him last off-season.

As was Auburn's, so...

As I said earlier, Auburn also was great in kick-off return. Tre Mason was #15 in the country, and LSU loses Mo Claiborne. As a team, Auburn was #14 in kick-off returns, while LSU was #62. We return everybody that was involved.

All this being said, LSU definitely has a damn good ST. Anyone who says otherwise is flaming. I just like Auburn's better, just like I like LSU's OLINE better than Auburn's. It is what it is.

No matter what, Rantards are going to base this argument on the AU-LSU game, the only game where AU's special teams weren't excellent, and LSU was unstoppable that game. Facts won't matter
