Hendo appears to have hooked him up with his best meth supplier. Helluva drug as they say.

Is he the favorite to win the job? Why not burn his redshirt last year to get his feet wet?

Arkansas is getting an upgrade as well because 2014 Brandon Allen is better than the 2013 version.

Yea saw that coming. Not trying to be a homer but I believe Coker has more natural talent than AJ. Doesn't mean he'll sniff what AJ has accomplished. I just like his upside more. He has a higher celling.

Amazing . Here is a player that was not recruited heavily by any school and only has a Spring Game and mop up duty to his resume, yet the bammers think he is a upgrade to AJ. His stats show he was 18 of 36 for 240 yards against the weak ACC 2nd String Defenses and now he is a Heisman contender. Plus he is coming off a major knee injury.

What? Dylan Thompson is not as good as Shaw.

No.

Eh, I think I know where he's going with this. Shaw worked and squeezed every ounce of talent out of his arm, but he wasn't naturally gifted outside of footspeed. Thompson has a better arm, although his release is hideous. They're very different quarterbacks. I could see Thompson having a stellar season, and can somewhat understand why you'd place him as more talented as Shaw.

He won't have Shaw's intangibles, though. Guy was the best leader in the conference.

Correct. He is definitely a talent upgrade though.

From Wes Rucker

quote:

Ferguson is the most talented of the four, without a doubt. It's about maturity and making good decisions for him. He was well ahead of Dobbs last season in camp as we documented, before suffering a stress fracture in his foot early in the season. Coaches believe the injury may have been a blessing in disguise as it allowed him to add a lot of weight and mature off the field. Some I have talked to have compared him to Tyler Bray in arm strength and confidence, but he is much more serious about football than Bray ever was. It is away from the field where he has room to grow.

It's not hating Hutson as much as it is love for AM's game. I think he was criminally under appreciated by the average SEC fan. Guys was a baller. Huge respect. Tough shoes to fill. Admittedly I don't know much about Hutson.

An upgrade for our departing QB doesn't exist; so I probably shouldn't have clicked this thread.
But I feel damn good about the guys we have competing for starter.
The biggest problem will be deciding which one gets the nod.

Depends on what they are looking for. If they are looking for the steady hand it will be Worley. I think you will see Fergy early and often though. Dobbs and Peterman have little chance imo.

He would have been the guy last year early on most likely if he had not gotten hurt.

First of all don't say Bammers believe when I am literally the only one in this thread (until that post right above me). My opinions are my own and I don't speak for this fanbase. Secondedly, the only person to mention Heisman in this thread is you. Thirdly, major knee injury is debatable. It was a meniscus not an ACL or MCL.

Hutson isn't as talented as Murray. I think he's good enough to win with given his supporting cast, but your assumption was correct.

Uh what? Have the utmost respect for Shaw and Thompson may be good but would be a total shock if he was Shaw good.

I assume you are talking about USC. A poster above did I nice job explaining my thoughts about Shaw v Thompson.

Not saying he's a better QB, I just think more talented.

Agree on Georgia for sure. Not so sure about SC; Connor Shaw was/is a pretty damn good QB.

OM- Upgrade

Not necessarily at the starter position, but our backup situation is going to be solid. Brunetti was serviceable and played great at times, but there is a legit battle going on for 2nd string with Kincade and Buchanan. That said, hopefully Bro can up his game some as well.

If the OL doesn't stay healthy, they're all fricked.

Dylan's no slouch but Connor Shaw was our best ever QB.

If Bro can elevate his game to where it needs to be this year I think OM has a legit shot at 10 win season.
