right now, you'd be praising him as a heisman contender before his first touch of the ball in a college game.
Right, because he would be starting over the guy who will break the career yards record for Alabama this year. Geez.

No, of course not. But that doesn't stop bamanurse from taking the most outrageous of expectations and making a whole offseason out of it.
My expectations were quite tame based on what I've heard from LSU fans on this board. In this very thread there was a completely serious post from a fan that LF would get 1250 yards on 135 carries for 9.2 YPC.

Let the kid play first before you:
(a) declare him a bust; or
(b) proclaim him the truth.
They haven't even started practice yet.

We were, but he wouldn't have played for a couple of years. Smartly, IMO, picked LSU so he can get on the field earlier and maximize his earning potential.
Went full retard didn't you?

So one fan made-up some obviously ridiculous numbers and now you've dedicated your life's work to tempering their expectations. Congrats, bro. Very noble cause.

Not at all. That was just one example. You sure do take a lot of liberty with the conclusions you make based on my posts.

I'll reiterate this again. Why do LSU fans believe that he would have started for Alabama when he isn't even projected to be ahead of Magee and Hilliard for LSU, both of whom are inferior to Yeldon and Henry.

The entire SEC, minus LSU, has gone full retard over this.
I've heard a lot more about how LSU fans are wrong for hyping Fournette, than actual LSU fans hyping Fournette.

That's what happens when you aren't accustomed to 10 win seasons and a trip to the Outback Bowl as the LSU fans have become over the years.

LF is much bigger than TM
Book it, LF will be our leading back

I think the responses in this thread speak the contrary.

no running back comes into the league and is just given the starting job, unless all the other seasoned backs get hurt in the offseason.
eta - or unless the others are just god awful

I understand that. Might want to try explaining that to your fellow LSU fans.

This.
It is so apparent that bamadoc is so outraged over Fournette turning down Alabama. Seems he is hyping bama players pretty good but how dare anyone even think of hyping Fournette. Laughable. Stupid, but laughable.
Everyone knows that had Fournette signed with the tide, bamadoc would have been first in line on fan day to get his autograph and to maybe even get a photo with him.

Dis dude ate up wit da scorned lover syndrome. Delusional gump was convinced no #1 recruit would shun Alafrickinbama. Shot his load and screamed Rahl Todd when LF said he would be playing at the University of.... LSU. He mad.

There is so much wrong with this post.
First, I have admitted that Alabama wanted Leonard Fournette and we recruited him very hard. I'm not outraged at all because he wouldn't have played a lot this year considering Yeldon and Henry would have been playing. Yeldon will surpass the career yards record for this year and Henry was just hitting his stride as the season ended last year. Hell yeah it would have been great to have him next yeah, but running back in a position that we aren't ever hurting.
Second, I am hyping Alabama players based on what they have done in college, not against high school defenses. To reiterate, LF is gong to be a helluva a back, but there was a LSU poster in this very thread that predicted him to have 1350 yards and 9.2 YPC for a guy that has never faced a college defense and probably won't be the starter from day 1.
Third, I don't get autographs of guys that are younger than me.
