You can't honestly believe this.

D. He is facing SEC defenses as a true Freshman.

That's the correct answer, even though I think he's definitely capable of a 1,000+ yard season.

People hoist WAY too lofty expectations on freshmen five stars. They're still freshmen, y'all. Even the best of them have to make the transition from high school to college.

You said he wouldn't have "played" for a couple of years, genius. You're stepping on your own pecker again.

Depending on what happens with Drake's legal problems, he probably wouldn't have. Why waste one of his eligibility years for mop up duty? Probably gets a red-shirt and then comes back in 2015 for a two-headed monster of Henry/Fournette.

Well he certainly isn't playing over Yeldon and Henry.

So doing two things that are commonly done in SEC recruiting are now considered "selling your soul"?

When's the last time Saban offered a marginal recruit a scholarship just because he's the brother of an elite player?

Saban held off on getting a 5* RB because he was all in on Fournette

Saban doesn't follow the same rules as others when it comes to recruiting. Fournette was handled very different from other recruits he's gone after

I honestly don't want bama fans to stoke this fire. Dude looks like he could go beastmode as a freshman so I'd be careful.

A voice of reason.

As an LSU fan I certainly have hopes for a successful freshman campaign. You are correct in the observation that he could go into beast mode and pound it down everyone's throat. Or, he could have an "average" season of 700 yards. You never know. Hopefully it will be fun to watch.

Well then I guess that settles it. You've made up your own mind that he would have been a mere scrub on bama's roster. Does this conclude your pathetic little crusade? Even for the offseason, it's become quite the bore.

Offered by LSU, Alabama, and Miami.

If Roc Thomas was a sure thing, he would've gotten an offer. Saban obviously felt we had a better shot at Fournette.

Again, two things commonly done in the SEC. Still waiting to see where we "sold our soul" for him.

LSU fans think Bama would give their left nut to get him, while Bama fans think we treated him just like any other big time recruit we go after.

So in other words, he just got the regular Dodge Charger...

I get that, and I think it's ridiculous.

I don't doubt that he could be a great one. He is an elite talent. But if he struggles a bit as a freshman it wouldn't be some kind of a disappointment.

But, yunno, don't get confused with the post where you said he wouldn't have even played for at least a couple of years. Your story changes every page, so try and keep up.

No, of course not. But that doesn't stop bamanurse from taking the most outrageous of expectations and making a whole offseason out of it. It's pretty obvious how much LF has terrorized him already.

if bama would have landed fournette, LSU fans would never have heard the end of it.

right now, you'd be praising him as a heisman contender before his first touch of the ball in a college game.

the jealously is real
